In my lifetime I have only owned 2 pairs of Jordans. When I was age 6 & age 28-29 neither time did I come out of my pocket for any pair. When I got the last pair they were fukking my feet & toes up. I learned going forward that Jordans are not made for comfort and are strictly for style purposes only.

Funny thing is I remember when I was high school I think (11th or 12th grade) their were an all grey pair of Jordans that just hit the market and everybody was just walking up in the cafeteria with them shyts on like fukking followers. Half of the nikkas shoes wasn't even matching with the shyt they was wearing.

We're talking about $200 though.

I remember my cousins baby's father who was a drug dealer bought me $500 Gucci sneakers from Saks Fifth and left the receipt in case they didn't fit me. Best believe I returned that shyt ASAP and kept the $500. Point is, it's ridiculous to spend that much on sneakers that didn't even cost nowhere near that price to make. Would you spend $20 on a pencil? Of course not. So why spend $200 on sneakers that probably took $40-$50 to make at most.
I understand how businesses make money. Pricing is not determined by production cost.
What did you do with that money? Did it make the world a better place?
If your priorities are in order than why not buy whatever you want.

14-24 I was collecting timbs, air force 1s, and Jays.
26-34 I pretty much only buy chucks, vans, and whatever in H&M

:manny:

:dwillhuh: I would've thought the other way around makes more sense. Jordan's in your mid/late 20's is perfectly fine as long as they're not one of them oversized, multi-coloured monstrosities. I actually f w/ chucks but only 16-21 white skater kids rock em where I'm from. In fact, I don't ever recall seeing a black person wear a pair, let alone a grown ass dude.

I'm aware of that. Which also makes me aware of what's worth spending money on and what's not. $200 on sneakers made zero sense to me when I was 12, and still makes zero sense to me in my late 20's. Lack of education and superficial needs is what drives people into buying these things.

I agree, that there are certain things that just sounds crazy to spend a lot of money on. I can understand pay up to a certain price for shoes, but things like $350 belt, or $500 Prada and Gucci loafers sounds fukking crazy to me.
