Public schools in the 21st century bashes men and belittles boys, especially black boys, to keep them away from higher education.
this.

all we hear is "you gone end up dead or in jail" in public school then people wonder why so many black men dip as soon as they can from "education".

Yep.

I cannot WAIT for A.I. to crush the buildings in the teaching profession altogether and get rid of the primitive 19th century Prussian style schooling. By not embracing the "Ted Talks" Scandinavian schooling style, humanity will never progress.

Gotta be more to it. How can women afford but men can't ?
I’m sure there’s more to it but the number 1 barrier in attending college is cost. So I’m focusing on what we know as the biggest issue.

“Surveyed students say free college would be the biggest determining factor in their decision to return to a postsecondary educationpath. The cost of college, including the expense of living and the cost of tuition and course materials, is the biggest barrier to post-secondary education for students.”

This isn’t hard. If we lower the barriers to entry (cost) more people will attend college.

Also...the one other thing I would mention is the technical/engineering HBCUs fortunately have better ratios. NC A&T is 1.56 to 1, Alabama A&M 1.4 etc.
I don’t know how things are now, but at A&T in the engineering dept, it definitely leaned in favor of men. What was always interesting, was the gender breakdown within different engineering disciplines. Although, I’d say all the disciplines heavily leaned men, a lot of the women in engineering were in Industrial and Chemical Engineering. Men dominated engineering disciplines like Mechanical, Civil, Architecture, Electrical, and Computer Science.

I was in both the Mechanical and Industrial engineering fields. The mother of my child was in Industrial.

AI isn’t going to be equitably applied to the country. It will be a tool used to make the rich richer. Don’t be naive

Isn’t it proven that black women value education more than men :manny:

That's a lie. Women love to follow and the education system has made it easy for them to follow a system. Men like the truth. There's a lot of lies in education and men see that. We can see that by how many people get a degree and don't work in their career field. It's not a guarantee. How many people have gotten degrees that are considered pretty worthless.

Plus men rebel at corrupt authority when their basic rights are violated, while some women tolerate it as long as its a comfortable white collar profession with a good paycheck.

Nothing you post is ever based in reality at all

“Typical young workers with college degrees now outearn their high-school-graduate counterparts by a record-high $22,000 per year.

According to new data from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the median annual wage for a full-time worker ages 22 to 27 with a high school diploma is $30,000. For a full-time worker with a bachelor's degree, it's $52,000.

The difference marks a pay gap of $22,000 — the highest on record with the New York Fed, which tracks earnings going back to 1990.”

MILWAUKEE – When he was 17 – only five years ago – Jaylen Brown tweeted something shocking that he heard from a teacher.
“My teacher said she will look me up in the Cobb County jail in 5 years … Wow”
The tweet resurfaced during the Celtics’ 112-90 Game 1 win against Milwaukee and caught fire.

this is about as much energy as i'm putting into this cuz i know you like to troll and argue.
