The bolded is some of the stupidest shyt I ever read and any professional performer will tell u the same shyt. That’s HIS festival it damn sure is his responsibility to make sure the venue is safe. It’s not his SOLE responsibility. But it is his nonetheless.
Again...it is not his responsibility to maintain safety at his shows. He has a duty to provide security, which he did. He does not have a duty to maintain security, that's on the actual hired security and the venue. If you can't understand that you're just looking to blame dude and being obtuse.

A bunch of cacs mad at Travis Scott because he's fukking Kylie Jenner and got 2 kids with her. That's all this shyt is about. c00ns and cacs hate Travis Scott because Kylie Jenner is in love with him and got 2 kids by him. They hated Kanye for the same reason with Kim K. So now they hoping for the worst for Travis career because they're hoping that someway this will affect Travis and Kylie's relationship.
This c00n ass nikka typed all that bullshyt:mjlol:

Wouldn't that have been better than being sued for deaths at your show? smh.
It would have been better for Travis yes, but clearly the other parties who were getting a piece of the revenue wanted the show to go on.
:manny:

He has a well documented history of fukkery at his shows, the city of Houston and the venue should have put some stipulations in place that would have cancelled the show if Travis didn't abide by them

The venue is the one responsible

I dont know why these dummies are suing Travis

They won't win, live nation is the one that will be held accountable

Plus the venue has insurance

I agree to an extent. The security firm has to deliver but I’m in the UK so not sure things legally different in US. But in UK you’d ask well when they did the procurement process I.E astroworld fest/ live nation, what were their checks like on the security firm. Did they know this company garbage and cut corners and recruit them anyway. The chain always goes up and up with these things. It’s why CEOs have to resign when scandals happen way lower down in the chain. The bigger the scandal the higher up the questions go from the law and from the media.

If I hold an event and I knowingly hire a company that didn’t meet certain standards, then liability on me too

As I’ve said before though, I imagine all this done by Live Nation not Travis’ people so they’re the biggest culprits here to me

Are there really people in here into this played out satanic panic nonsense? :deadmanny:

When i start hearing and seeing police reports and cnn talking about ppl were randomly getting stabbed in the neck with drug filled needles, that's some dark stuff.

Whatever you're putting out that vibrates with ppl coming to your show to do things like that is dark

FBI joins investigation on deadly incident at Astroworld Festival

HOUSTON – A criminal investigation is underway after the tragedy at the Astroworld Festival that left eight people dead and hundreds injured.

Multiple lawsuits have been filed claiming Travis Scott and the other organizers put profits over safety.

Not only are the civil suits mounting in this case, the criminal investigation has expanded. The criminal investigation now not only involves Harris County and the City of Houston, but it also includes the FBI.

“We’re working to figure out which entity can do that investigation, because there’s so many different players,” Judge Lina Hidalgo said.

8 people killed, hundreds more injured at the event
Accountability is now a major part of the focus with not just investigations at the local level in Houston and Harris County, but now the feds have stepped into the picture.

KPRC 2 Legal Analyst Brian Wice says FBI agents likely were invited into this criminal investigation because of resources they can provide. He said it is similar to when the FBI was brought in to aid in the Santa Fe High School shooting in 2018, when a gunman killed 10 people.

Hidalgo, who attended a vigil near NRG Park Monday evening, said the deaths and the presence of drugs helped lead to the criminal investigation. Wice says the search for accountability will be thorough.

“There are eight promising young people who aren’t at home tonight with their friends and loved ones, and as a result of their untimely, tragic and probably preventable deaths, that situation is probably enough to initiate a criminal investigation to determine whether or not their deaths were something more than simple negligence,” Wice said.

Judge Hidalgo added that what makes this investigation complex is that you have several agencies, including Harris County and the Houston Fire Department, who were present Friday night, as well as a private medical group, promoters, producers, and Travis Scott himself, who will all be under the microscope in this investigation

:picard: got the feds involved

People keep overlooking the fact that AstroWorld Festival was Travis Scott's and therefore, he's going to be held liable as well for what transpired there. It doesn't matter whether it was his responsibility or not to maintain safety at his shows as this particular festival was his. It was the exact reason that he scrubbed those tweets from his timeline about telling fans to break through the barricades and his history involving inciting crowd antics isn't going to help his cause.

EVERYBODY is getting sued and deserves culpability for all that transpired and the death/injuries that incurred.

Nope.. Live Nation is responsible, as well as Travis Scott and his management since they Co-produced the show.

Even if they dont win against Travis, its gonna cost him millions to defend all these lawsuits.
