The bolded is some of the stupidest shyt I ever read and any professional performer will tell u the same shyt. That’s HIS festival it damn sure is his responsibility to make sure the venue is safe. It’s not his SOLE responsibility. But it is his nonetheless.
I’m not a Travis Scott fan or defender but one thing people need to understand is that Travis Scott is the FACE of Astroworld it’s not his festival. “Who’s” festival it is can only be discerned by examining contracts that we are not privy to.
Right now all the insurance companies involved in Astroworld are busy gathering as much evidence as possible to shield themselves from liability and we are a very long way from this ever seeing the inside of a courtroom in the unlikely event that this even goes to trial. Right now lawyers are thumping their chests and gaining publicity by filing the biggest suits they can but these will certainly not resemble even slightly what these suits will end up looking like once all the insurance companies and lawyers get involved.
Live Nation promotes tens of thousands of events a year and their disclaimers are very clear about their responsibility which is basically that they have none. Their lawyers are experts at defending themselves against what happens at their events. The burden of proof to say that this was the fault of the promoters is very high and appeals courts are ever more likely to throw out guilty verdicts against the Live Nations of the world the higher they get appealed.
At some point there will most likely be settlements but the idea of Travis Scott going to jail or going broke for this are laughable.
