Cause it’s just another avenue to get people into their ecosystem.
Sony or Microsoft don’t make money off hardware. It used to be that the more consoles you sell, the more money you make. But with gaming being on everything from watches to beastly PC rigs it no longer makes sense to hold your games hostage on any one platform.
Um, it's not a stupid comparison. You saying that like games that came out in the beginning of the gen were bad looking. Let me refresh your memory:
This is from Driveclub, a 2014 game.
The Order 1886 came out in Feb 2015, barely a year after launch.
The Order 1886 is already 4 years old and it's still among the top tier graphics this gen. It looks leaps and bounds better than TLOU on PS3 or any game.
Show me a PS3 game that looks as good?

Not a single Sony Interactive Studio 1st party title is running on or released on PC.
Detroit and Heavy Rain aren't Sony 1st party developers. Unless something completely changes in the future, there is no Sony 1st party game available for PC.

Cause that’s how it works. At launch they don’t make any or may even take a loss, then as time goes on they start to make a bit but still console sales are not the profit driver. It’s software and services.
