Right now I'm like :stopitslime::camby::mindblown:

but the film will probably be :blessed:

or maybe it will be a long winded origins film where most of the film is him being a p*ssy:scust:

EIther way I don't like him as an actor. He was pure shyt in Ender's Game. I remember watching the trailer like :gladbron: epic space battles!
then they showed the kid as the main character :why::camby:

My opinion on this might change though.. :ehh:

Tobey's Spider-Man was far from horrible. Not that he was a great Spider-Man either but I take more issue in the way they still wrote him as this whiny mopey dude after two movies (the second one's character arc actually being that he got over being mopey). That was the right moment to give us the smart-ass Spidey and instead they got scared and wrote him as if he hadn't progressed from the whiny high schooler at all.

And at that point Tobey was so old that the moping couldn't even pass for teen (or young adult) angst anymore and it was just an adult crying over everything like "what the hell, man!". Other than that, dude was alright.
So everything about the core of the character was bad but aside from that he was Allright :skip:

No, the first two movies felt like a natural growth to the character he was supposed to be. It was the third where they completely fukked him up to the point it became embarrassing.

And like I said, that wasn't on Tobey because that was a problem with how the character was written. Saying Tobey was a horrible Spider-Man puts way too much blame on the guy because the guy, despite not being the best pick for the role, did what he could with what he was given and managed to make a decent Spider-Man.

:dead: exactly

I mean, yeah he was a humourless mute and nothing like the actual spider man as well but other than that he was pretty good :mjlol:

I don't know what it is with the original spider man trilogy and the nostalgia buffer people have with them.

They werent that good of movies. :yeshrug: in fact every passing year they hold up less and less.

Tobey was a passable peter in high school at best. But he was always way too geeky even then.

He didn't change at all. You can blame it on the writing and directing sure, but tobey also takes the blame. He was acting the exact same with no growth.

He was a bad peter and a horrible spider man.

I think he was decent with handling what they gave him and what he felt the character was but to me, he missed the mark by a lot. I agree with you that he had a chance to really grow after the second but they were so stuck on creating this rift between he and MJ that they both regressed as characters

And that's all I'm saying. From the way people shyt on Tobey sometimes you'd think the guy was Ioan Gruffud as Reed Richards bad.

Well to me he was average at best. But again I've felt that way since I was 16, shyt won't change at this point. I accepted him but I was never a fan. I never felt like I was watching spider man or Peter for that matter. Just some guy who thought he understood the character and kept missing the mark for the most part. The writing let him down there along with his own knowledge of the character

Lol I'm just saying breh. Peter has many facets and being an a$$hole at times is one of them. He used to constantly crack on flash for being an idiot. Grant it flash deserved it a lot of the time but still he'd always get on him. He's not a saint. He can be selfish and arrogant and truly believe the world would go to pieces if he wasn't around. That's why I loved Andrews performance because he allowed Pete to be a person not some caricature of what people think Peter is. Even in the scene you're talking about it was pure retaliation and in typical Peter fashion, it backfired on him and he ended up paying the price for it.
People act like Peter is supposed to be like Christopher Reeves' Clark Kent.

That shyt is so annoying. And what's worse is I don't know where it came from. Pete has always been shown to be a guy who has lofty ideals and very high minded about how society should work but he has his faults. His ego being one of them and his guilt being another. I just don't get the shyt
