I'm not opposed to a younger Spidey. People complain about rehashes and yet want the same thing over and over.
We've seen Peter grown up. Been there, done that.
As a young teen, he'll over a completely different take on the MU. Will also be great to watch the character grow as time passes.
I also think the banter will be fine. The inevitable tug of war with Stark who will downplay the kid who is actually brilliant in his own right will be great.
I have faith Marvel knows what they're doing.

Watching spiderman 2 right now

Toby would been good if he wasn't such a simple

I prefer the hipseter-ish Garfield take

But the original trilogy was better than the new spider movies

Toby was the perfect spidy imo.

Ok I need you or someone else to explain this to me. I've been reading spider man since I was a kid, watched every iteration of him whether it be animated or movies or even that live action tv show from the 70s...please explain to me how he was perfect because I didn't see it at 15 and I still don't see it now

Well to me, the spidy in the animated series, didn't come across as a nerdy nikka, he was just a dude that was very smart but not really popular:yeshrug: Toby portrayed that to me, it came off is normal to him. Andrew wasn't really bad at the part but he came off as overly nerdy. Thats just me though to each his own.

Yeah because I felt Tobey was the embodiment of nerd..he never grew in the role, he continuously played Peter as a 17 year old kid and never once developed a sense of humor that is key to the character. And he portrayed Pete as having no backbone whatsoever. When he did make a joke they fell flat, he was a stereotypical nerd and this put upon guy and that's not Pete. Andrew has come the closest to nailing it perfectly to me

Funny, I remember the animated spiderman always cracking jokes and one liners.

Tobey was a emotionless statue
