So you didn't like the comic books is what you're saying?
I'm talking ultimate spiderman plus the new spiderman cartoon
ultimate spider man is a terrible cartoon regardless of how old he is and that has nothing to do with the age of the character but the wackness of the creative team.
spectacular spider man is possibly the greatest spider man thing ever and he's a teenage in that. ultimate spider man the comic was great for a long long long time so we disagree there and of course for the first 30 or 40 issues of amazing, he was a teenager. That's how he started and that's always an interesting part of his life to explore especially when done right, like spectacular spider man or Bendis and Bagley's ultimate run.
Spectacular spider-man, to me, is better than the movies and was even better than the comics for a while
I have issues with superhero comics/cartoons that deal in teen problems. Shyt is tired and grinds my gears, I really prefer the college aged/young adult peter
I can understand that but spectacular didn't really deal with "teen" problems, it dealt with the same problems Peter always deals with regardless of age: money, family, responsibility, women, and villains and trying to balance peter parker's life and spider-man's life. They've never made Peter deal with typical teen problems, he deals with the same stuff he would deal with as an adult the only difference as an adult is he has more responsibility but even as a teen, he's trying to provide for his aunt and pay bills for the house and help out. Stuck between two girls or three, not sure what to do and again just dealing with the psychos the city throws at him.
The episode where Connors turned into the lizard while Peter and Gwen interned for him was a very dope episode and a sad episode because Peter's responsibility of being spider-man made him look like a complete coward when he left Gwen and Mrs. Connors to go find lizard under the excuse of "it's a school nite, my aunt needs me to be home" and then it was made worse when that responsibility to his aunt caused him to take pictures of an incident that the Connors family wanted to keep as quiet as possible, but he needed the money from the daily bugle to help pay bills in the house. So once that picture comes out with his name as the byline, it created a rift between the Connors and Peter and Eddie in the process. To me, that's not teenage shyt breh, that's peter parker shyt and the same thing that could happen to him at 21 or 22 or even 25
I agree to a degree but what makes the Bolded teenage problem is becuase he wasnt mature enough to juggle it.. and he also wasnt mature enough to make up a fake name for his pics.. Using his real name ALWAYS made him a target because he was the only person getting pictures of Spider just like Lois Made herself a target...
But there are no such things as teenage problems... except for puberty.. none of the problem WE all face are teenage specific.. THey tried to use popularity as a teenage problem which I think Peter tried to used the pictures to his advantage being the only person getting pics.. Spectacular did deal with drugs having Harry addicted to Goblin Goo
Lol you right but here's the question for you: When has Peter ever been mature enough to deal with that kind of thing? Even now in his 20s, he's got the same issues when it comes to juggling things. And as far as the picture thing goes, I always chalk that up as a dramatic conceit that you need to build some drama. It's like characters acting dumb in horror movies; if they didn't you would't have a movie.
And yeah he's never gone through "teenage" problems, he just needed to deal with juggling all of his issues without having the financial situation that tony has or the genes that cap has or the funding that the fantastic four have
Peter not growing up is a problem with the writing... Hell even robin grew up and became nightwing then batman ....
The only thing I see with peter is he tries to do both.. Of most of the superheros they either choice being a hero or having a family they rarely do both., the only time they do both is when bothare heroes...... I'm not saying all but most... Thats where I commend peter for trying to be a civilian and a hero .. but he can't. Heroes dont have time clocks like the police, its 24/7 and BOTH parties must be willing to make it work..
Bruce couldnt do it, dikk couldnt do it, Barbara couldnt do it...Clark (he really cant know matter how much he tries), FF (married), the incredibles... Scott and Jean ....
