Are they saying that 24% of Black men that are married are married in interracial relationships? Or are they saying that of all Black people that are married? Because if they are looking at all Black people then it needs to be stated that there are more Black women than there are Black men so that 12% of Black women could be more people than that 24% of Black men.

Another thing that needs to be defined is what is a Hispanic? Because if a Black man (who we presume is African American) married a Black Hispanic woman then that is not really any interracial marriage. I see a lot of Black men that are married to Hispanic Black women. I have never considered those to be interracial marriages.

That is an assumption. They use the word Hispanic, but a person could be a Black Hispanic or a White Hispanic. If a Black man (meaning African American) married a Hispanic Black woman then that is not an interracial marriage. So that 24% could be an inflated.

I think our numbers are skewed because we're prolly as likely to marry a hispanic as we are a cac. Specially since black and black hispanic prolly shows up as an interracial marriage in this chart.

Which is the point that a lot of people are missing. I have seen Hispanic women and African American men get married quite often. They are probably calling that an interracial marriage even though the women are Black just like that man. That is why you have to take the stats with a grain of salt, because the woman might write down Puerto Rican on her marriage certificate and right away a statistician will say that is an interracial marriage even though the woman is probably darker than the man.

To be honest, he lived in a white community and his kids went to majority white private schools so I guess it was inevitable? If you saw the grandkids, the only thing that gives them away is their pug noses that they inherited from him, lol. They have ivory white skin and almost straight hair. He loves them to death but he says that at times he feels weird when he thinks about it but he catches himself and pushes it out of his mind. He's a nice man.

He was with the Black Panther Party back in his youth but left it behind when he got older. All 3 of his children married white and now he has white looking grandkids running around. He privately confided to me that although he loves his family. he wishes he had Black grandkids like I do. He loves them but the way he explained it was that it's a shock to see people who are your descendants look like the people who you were segregated from when you were younger. It's weird and thank God I don't have that problem!

While I see what are you are getting at, 1. The amount of Black people of Latin American descent in the US off the RIP isn't that high to potentially substantially skew the statistics 2. Black people of Latin American descent tend to be concentrated in a handful of northern cities which undermines the chances/probabilities of marrying with Black folks in the south (only notable exceptions I can think of being Black Cubans in Miami and Black Hondurans in Houston).
