It's easy to write an article like this and scare people into fearing the man down the street, or these sick faceless men who hide behind a keyboard and VPN connection. Truth is, outside of straight sexual trafficking, most of the actual sexual crimes against children/teenagers are committed by people who are trusted by the victim's family and community. It's much more difficult to write that article though. Much more difficult to take apart institutions (the church, schools, athletics) and parental neglect.

What are you talking about? I was a former social worker, and I worked with abused kids. One of the main symptoms of childhood sexual abuse is promiscuity. Child porn is one of the largest drivers of sexual trade and the porn industry. If you don't think this affects the sexual behavior our children and adults and ultimately our community, you're naive. This isn't gender war, these are facts.

Because the word "thot" is pervasive on this site, and a lot of these "thots" people talk about have really fukked up backgrounds that contributed to their behaviors. I wasn't personally attacking you, and I'm sorry you took it that way. But it is problematic to hate child molesters and then turn around and shame possible victims of their behavior.

So give them an avenue to get some sort of help or practice some sort of preventive measure like chemical castration or constant monitoring without having to have jail time.
I just can't support the death penalty especially for crimes that haven't been committed.
Now this doesn't mean I don't support jail time, the moment someone touches a child I say throw away the key (unless the perpetrator is a child themselves then I'd say put them in a mental institution or some facility where they can get some sort of therapy) as quick as anyone else.
I just believe if you can reach these people before they offend without the threat of death which would obviously make them not want to come then maybe less children will be abused.

Dead. See the New Yorker piece. No false-flag, no easy villain. Issue is incredibly complex and fukked up.

The worst journalism is the, "look at those evil people over there" type. This article plays right into that. It allows people to be sanctimonious without actually doing anything about said issue or even really understanding it. It allows people to turn their nose up and condemn people (these people should be "killed," "castrated," "blown up," or whatever), but this reaction does nothing to solve the fukking problem (or even help people to better understand it).
