There wasn't a lot of products for black skin and hair back in the days either. Now thanks to the internet more people are aware of how to take care of their skin and hair. Black hair needs way more moisture than other hair and black skin has more sebum due to more active sebaceous glands

It's also on mothers to teach their daughters how to take care of their hair. Wearing weaves and shyt doesn't do that; I'm not saying no one should wear them, but if your "hair care" consists of putting on a weave every day you aren't teaching your daughter anything.

My uncle got divorced, and his daughter would live with him for a week before going back to live with her mom. I could always tell when she was living with my uncle based on her hair: if her hair was matted, uncombed, and generally fukked up, she was with my uncle lol. He didn't know how to address the sitaution, and at the time my cousin was pretty young so she didn't seem to care about her hair. But ultimately I put the blame on the mother for not teaching her to take care of her hair every day, and not depend on someone doing it for her.

People should like who they like. If you like mixed women, more power to you. The problem I have is when people denigrate black women and make them inferior. They're already shamed by television and music (I don't see how any black woman can buy Lil Wayne albums after his comment about dark women), having friends and family members do it too must be unbearable.

Beyonce gets whiter every year. Alicia Keys looks lighter. 95% of black women on television are light skinned. That's a problem, image wise. I've been to Africa, I've seen beautiful women that were darker than I could imagine. I've seen beautiful, dark women from India. I've seen beautiful dark women in the US. They exist, and if you're a straight man you'll probably be attracted to some. The western media isn't gonna help us with this, WE have to do it on our own. That means raising darker black girls to feel good about themselves, feel good about their hair, and teaching them to take care of their skin. A big problem with many darker women is that they have poor complexions; acne, pimples, etc. I think a lot of this stems from bad self esteem. Clearing that up works wonders IMO.

What are you talking about dark skin women tend to have less acne .

All of my friends know my addiction to dark skinned women but hell I love all women so it doesn't matter to me.
