It's the truth, I live in atlanta, I see way more high quality light skin to medium skin chicks than I do dark skin black women. It is what it is. Just the other day I seen at least 4 caramel colored honeys . I see fine caramel honeys daily. I don't see fine dark skin honeys on a daily basis.

Actually many darker women have a lot of acne that makes their complexion less "clear." It makes them look darker in the face.

How would a mixed person be racist towards a black person? Racism is a group dynamic where one race, who has resources and power, imposes their will on another race to the detriment of said race. From what I've seen, I don't see this kind of dynamic going on between mixed and black people in America.

Do you mean a mixed person being prejudice against a black person? Also, what does your statement have to with my post? I didn't mention a mixed person doing anything against a black person.

lighter skinned blacks and mixed blacks alike often play the shyt out of dark skinned blacks, especially when they are put in a position of power over them. That was one of the intended consequences of raping slaves to make a lighter skinned subrace of blacks who concsciously and/or subconsciously believed in and perpetuated white/light supremacy

I'm darkskin. Growing up, you'd constantly hear women say they wanted a lightskin dude because they wanted a baby with nice hair and pretty eyes. Let it been one of those high yellow nikkas with green eyes at school and he was getting all the bishes. Difference was....you'd never hear us men crying about it. "Why don't you love us ladies?" How come they're aren't more darkskin men on tv? How come darkskin guys are always painted negatively? We're just as good....please pay us attention Imagine how weak we'd look crying like that all the time. We don't do that sh*t. ive had racism from mixed people and seen mixed people give black people racism. you're forgetting most mixed people are raised by white women, and a lot of time either a bitter white mother, or members of her family are racist.

and yes mixed people have more power than black people, this is just evident.

You're talking about prejudice-calling you names, making disparaging comments, etc. Racism is a group dynamic used to affect societal consequences, not about saying or doing hurtful things for the sake of it.

Prejudice example: George Zimmerman killing Trayvon Martin because he was a black kid in the wrong neighborhood at the wrong time

Racism example: The fact that George Zimmerman's didn't go to jail for a crime that he would have surely went to jail for if the teen were white. Racism was at work here because Zimmerman had community(group) resources, from people who support white dominance/supremacy within society, to get away with a murder against a member of another group. The group that the victim belongs has been intentionally marginalized via laws and policies, which result in the types of crimes in which Zimmerman was acquitted.

Either way, mixed people can be prejudice against black people, however they do not have a stand along system that supports supremacy over black people.

As black people, we really need to get an understanding of racism because that is what we are fighting-not prejudice. Its troubling that many of us still think racism is about personal attacks. We can't stop people from disliking us, however we can fight a system that marginalizes us via laws, policies and societal practices.
