I have no desire to ever go to a movie theater again
This is bs breh. There's sold out concerts/festivals and sporting events all over. Maybe people are sick of how garbage blockbusters have becomeI mean we’re still technically in a pandemic so I get it if folks don’t wanna risk their health. I still go to the theaters regardless to enjoy myself though.
Say it again.This.
It shouldn't cost the average family of four almost $80 to $100 to see a movie together, ESPECIALLY when most movies lately have made for trash theater experiences.
Just about ere'thing I've seen during the pandemic has been UNWORTHY of having been viewed at the theater.
I was getting tired of seeing all that bedwenching on the bigscreen anyway.

I think you're missing my point. I'm talking from a "people are afraid to go to the movies because of covid" standpoint. Clubs, bars, restaurants, sporting events, festivals etc have all been packed. a lot of people are not afraid or are vaccinated etc. also re: your other point. Movies are a communal experience. Many people like to go with others. even if we do sit in silence. We're talking about two totally different experiences. Concerts/festivals are social and interactive experiences. You can add sporting events to that as well. Movies are more insular. Even though you're with a bunch of people, what's the number one rule? Be quiet. I've been to concerts where me and my crew made friends and hung out after. That's because we can talk and make noise. At the movies, once it's over, that's it. The movies aren't like sports, where like with football, many people have fun tailgating. Even when the CEO of AMC said, "Well people have kitchens but they still go out to eat," I don't think that's an equal comparison. That is still a interactive thing. I went to dinner with some coworkers a few weeks back, and we talked the whole entire time. You're not doing that at the movies.
