Not sure if serious

Reggaeton came from Reggae... It's just Reggae in spanish

reggaeton = dancehall + rap/hiphop +native puerto rican sounds + a touch of modern R&B

I don't even think they use drums in Salsa today..

Are you serious?:russ:

Most music you hear today was influenced by Reggae

Most music you hear today was influenced by Blues, Jazz, Soul & Funk and Disco. Most people don't realize that Disco gave birth to modern dance-Pop and EDM.

Why? I didn't say anything biased?

America is very good at taking something, making it their own and perfecting it. London is a much more creative and eclectic place for music.

America is the most influential music on the outside world since atleast the 1850's. London's/UK music is all based on a combination of America music and most recently, influenced by Jamaican immigrants.

Shout out to America for creating EDM though ...... :skip::snoop::bryan::ufdup::heh:

What's so funny about that. You realize that EDM is a broad term that includes House, Jungle, Tehcno, Drum & Bass, Trance etc? House is the root that all of these styles branched from. It's true though, American did give birth to the modern electronic dance music machine and gave the rest of the world a style to run with:troll:

And if we really want to talk about origins of black music lets just go to Africa. All stems from there.

USA is very influential when it comes to perfecting the current trend, packaging it and selling it. So if you watch MTV and BET you would be forgiven for thinking that America sets the trend. But i can't really hear any innovators coming from the US in 2014. Europe and UK create the sound, America gentrify the fukk out of it and sell it.

YES!!!!! EDM = ELECTRONIC DANCE MUSIC

Electronic dance music (also known as EDM, dance music, club music, or simply dance) is a set of percussive electronic music genres produced primarily for dance-based entertainment environments, such as nightclubs. The music is largely created for use by disc jockeys (DJs) and is produced for use in DJ mixes, in which the DJ uses a synchronized segue, or "mix", to progress from one recording to the next.[1]

In 2010, the acronym "EDM" was adopted by the American music industry and music press as a buzzword to describe the increasingly commercial US electronic dance music scene

Europe and UK have been jacking America for years and then they put a spin on it and sell it back. Watch it happen again with that Trap sound
