Not sure if serious
Reggaeton came from Reggae... It's just Reggae in spanish
I don't even think they use drums in Salsa today..
Most music you hear today was influenced by Reggae
Why? I didn't say anything biased?
America is very good at taking something, making it their own and perfecting it. London is a much more creative and eclectic place for music.
Shout out to America for creating EDM though ......
You realize that EDM is a broad term that includes House, Jungle, Tehcno, Drum & Bass, Trance etc?
So is EDM a genre or collective of genres under one umbrella called EDM?
Electronic dance music (also known as EDM, dance music, club music, or simply dance) is a set of percussive electronic music genres produced primarily for dance-based entertainment environments, such as nightclubs. The music is largely created for use by disc jockeys (DJs) and is produced for use in DJ mixes, in which the DJ uses a synchronized segue, or "mix", to progress from one recording to the next.[1]
In 2010, the acronym "EDM" was adopted by the American music industry and music press as a buzzword to describe the increasingly commercial US electronic dance music scene
YES!!!!! EDM = ELECTRONIC DANCE MUSIC
And if we really want to talk about origins of black music lets just go to Africa. All stems from there.
USA is very influential when it comes to perfecting the current trend, packaging it and selling it. So if you watch MTV and BET you would be forgiven for thinking that America sets the trend. But i can't really hear any innovators coming from the US in 2014. Europe and UK create the sound, America gentrify the fukk out of it and sell it.
Can always count on the yanks to create some fukk shyt like that lol
Hai giuze im a edm deejay and i just plai wots popula in yoorup and ukay
Of course people over here jack shyt too, it will happen all over the world but the majority of popular american music is influenced buy outside cultures, IN MY OPINION of course.
