Bring Da Ruckus is one of the craziest intro songs ever. That shoot Em up shyt us wild saccharine.

Yeah - I do t even know why we're arguing with these dudes if those are the types of songs that they're bigging up. Apples and oranges.

A lot of that wu tang shyt especially protect your neck sounds xtemely dated

Dated yes - but also timeless. As long as people listen to hip hop 36 will be one of the albums that people go back to. It's an essential piece of work for the genre.

Are you smoking crack:what:

Biggie had the weakest verse on notorious thugs..he got ate up by bone..lol at thinking biggie could hang..he couldn't even rap fast at all..and his lyrics were garbage..

It's a verse most people know by heart. I'm questioning your understanding of the fundamentals if you think its weak lyrically.

Only newbies like biggies verse cuz they don't have a good ear for rap and they can't understand what bone is saying cuz it's too fast and they would say biggie had the verse cuz it's easy to comprehend...

Luckily for real hip hop heads like me I can see thru the tricknology..

Bone had the best verses on that whole album..

How old are you and how long have you been listening to hip hop?

Obviously - either one of us stating it doesn't make it a fact.

I guess we just got to chalk this up to two very different perspectives on reality.

Now when you say Big got bodied is that just hyperbole? Or do you really think one of the dudes from Big was leaps and bounds ahead of Big on the song? And are you talking lyrics or rhyme style?

Correct me if I'm wrong. Didn't u say u stopped listening to notorius thugs when big stopped rappin?

Dog, I'm bein totally serious and honest when I tell u that I think BIG got bodied by all 3 bone members on the track. Like, it wasn't even close. Lyrically & style wise. Are u tellin me that BIG outrapped Bone thugs at their own style? Seriously bruh, can u please be honest? And I'm not shyttin on Big at all, like I said he's in my top list of MCs. But I'm bein honest, BIG got bodied badly

People know it b y heart because BIGs verse was a lot slower and simplistic compared to Bones verses. I know word 4 word all the verses on notorius thugs, including bones.

People who try 2 shyt on bones style and say that they can't understand them, essentially expose their ability to adequatley listen. It goes way over their heads, while bone fans have a sharp ear to decipher what they are saying. I have never met anyone in real life off of the net that thought that BIG was the best on that track. Everyone I have ever came across collectivelu agreed that Bone rapped circles around BIG. And kep in mind, I'm a BIG fan

They came back down to earth didn't have the singles that was humongous, but I remember people still bein Bone stans around the time, had that cassette in our household:heh:...nobody wuz sayin Bone wuz done behind it,the group issues they had later made folks say that but they came back with ressurection which u should aslo check out, shyt is very very good

Yeah. They came back down to earth at that point is probably the best way to describe it.

I don't know about checking out more Bone. The songs I'm listening to here that people are posting don't appeal to me at all. I just can't rock with that type of production. The same way you can't rock with Illmatic.

I guess I can see why, they figure its only one purchase, but its 2 cd's and if they were both released seperatly the same day for say 8$,there's no double disc I can remember ever purchasing that I wouldn't have bought both...maybe woulda bee nice to not have to buy both at one time when u a kid and think 16$ is a lot of money:pachaha:...but I still woulda went back, even after the fact of u buyin it and its not as good as u expected, there's still always enough good songs that u would wanna have both in my experience...

Far as the notorious thugs biggie verse, all that he killed bone with they own style is sum revisionist shyt right there....for one thing folks wuznt obsessed with who embarrased who on every song on sum exageration shyt....nikkas act like it ain't no such thing as they all killt it now:russ:...all of a sudden One wuz just horrible and no match:childplease:

My people still paid attention to who had the better verse. But you're right that people started exaggerating about this one killed the other one post ether. I can tell you that at some point in 1997 I just started fast forwarding to the next song after Bigs verse. Mel has said he did the same thing. I know some of my people did it to. I think if you have trouble hearing everything Bone says (like I always have) it's hard to really rock with them.

P was pretty perfect too but wild thugged. Some of his shyt was so evil but beautiful. They made that horrible world somehow gorgeous.

That verse he has on 'nobody likes me' where he's talking about dude running and getting shot and feeling the blood etc is just so crazy on so many levels. "You ran, started feelin' numb in ya hand..."

And that Noyd EP is classic material.

Oh I agree its classic. P was at his peak on that EP.

Haha - eventually. I listened to the whole song numerous times. Enough to know I could skip. Plus I had it on cassette so I actually had to fast forward which was annoying and therefore I didn't always do it.

^^^thank Staten Island for that beat, cornball. That shyt is trash too.

if youre referring to the force mds, they just used "tender love" as the intro. the actual beat came from herb alpert's "making love in the rain". he joint with janet jackson and the other chick. lisa something. i have writer's block right now. i made an epic thread about it not too long ago.

did you cut the video off after 15 seconds so that you can call it weak? and how dont you remember it?

Bone made a movie? Lolololololololol.

it went platinum homie.

and it aired on BET as well.

Bone has always been my favorite group (well, it's actually close with another group), but in HS, I never understood why the debate was always Bone vs Wu Tang when they were nothing alike. OutKast (my other favorite group) should've been in the discussion since they had hits as well, and ultimately, remained relevant longer and achieved a higher level of success than both Bone and Wu Tang.

ur pushing hard for outkast in numerous posts.

bone thugs & wutang were the pac & big of rap groups during that era. thats why they were always compared. they were clearly the 2 most popular.

outkast wasnt even top 5. and no, they didnt remain relevant in hip-hop longer. they went pop.

i wish yall would stop with this revisionist outkast stuff. thats why i like to chit on them on here.

Weren't you born in 85? Wouldn't that make you about 8 when both these groups came out? Doesn't that disqualify you from talking about how they were perceived back then?

no offense but you wouldnt understand.

your life isnt comparable to those cut from my cloth.

lets just leave it at that buddy.

:laff: its ridiculous and they know it,they'd never go for it if it didn't work in wutangs favor here to try to pull that shyt, good point with the hotboys:salute:....West Side Connection is sittin pretty over RunDMC,Outkast,PE right about now:heh:...213 as a group and the outlawz are now in top 5 consideration....this shyt has no limits with them....yeah they had better more impactful solo material than MOST groups u can't dispute that, let's ignore the fact they had double and triple the chances by having way more members of just about every group in history...and let's just acknowledge that fact which I think we all have....no need to continue the discussion til they realize u can't count a guest feature of group member,or solo song as a group hit.:wtb:

:bustback::bustback::bustback::bustback:

SET THIS CHIT RIGHT OFF.

im about to shut this thread down too. you know theyre posting with guilt and realize that theyre full of chit.

@Big Mel knows what hes doing. hes not a jack@$$ like some of those other dudes. and i vividly remember the recent epmd/clipse thread. WHY DIDNT HE MENTION ANY OF EPMD's SOLO SINGLES OR DEF SQUAD SINGLES IN EPMD'S FAVOR?:popcorn:

and yea, i wanna see what they have to say about that hot boys chit. how are they gonna spin rza's little movies and all that other relevant chit when theyre forced to compare it to lil wayne's celebrity?

If its a matter of mimicking Bone's style, I agree - he couldn't do it like they did. Lyrically is where I'm losing you.
