No one cared. Everyone loves biggies verse.

"Imma tell y'all like a nikka told me cash rules everything around me"

Wu Tang haunting this song.

Only newbies like biggies verse cuz they don't have a good ear for rap and they can't understand what bone is saying cuz it's too fast and they would say biggie had the verse cuz it's easy to comprehend...

Luckily for real hip hop heads like me I can see thru the tricknology..

Bone had the best verses on that whole album..

I honestly didn't remember it either. I'm not surprised it sold - anything Bone dropped at that point would have sold. Also - can we agree that AOW was considered a critical flop at the time?

They came back down to earth didn't have the singles that was humongous, but I remember people still bein Bone stans around the time, had that cassette in our household:heh:...nobody wuz sayin Bone wuz done behind it,the group issues they had later made folks say that but they came back with ressurection which u should aslo check out, shyt is very very good

the source was the most biased of them all.

i never respected their ratings. i came closer to respecting their ratings more in the late '90s/early '00s than i did back then.

actually, its the wutang cosigners that are the ones mentioning any ole tracks.

lol @ biggie murdering bone. one of the most notoriously(pun intended) biased east coast statements.

big mel "doesnt even remember" days of our livez either.

but he remembers shadow-boxing.

whenever you sport rap-paraphanelia(sp?), its automatic that youre gonna get daps & reactions.

doesnt matter where you are b.

meh. an hour of twista is not an easy listen. i cant even listen to "adrenaline rush" str8 thru.

the schtick stuff that big mel is talking actually does apply to twista.

raekwon, ghostface, bizzy, krayzie, prime layzie, gza and meth >>>> twista.

mystikal >>> twista

I think Twista just ain't that great of an artist as far as song making goes, once the lyrical display grows tired after uve heard it with adrenaline rush there's not to much to fall back on outside of the standout tracks, but I feel the exact same way about Illmatic personally....great lyricist but bad song making just about always comes off as schtick after a while to me as it gets monotonous/repetetive.....as a rapper skillwise Its a easy pick for me,as a artist id definitly not have the same stance...and mystikal hell yea,Mind Of Mystikal is a personal classic

Matter of fact, kinda confused why people always cut double CD sales in half. "Forever" sold 4 mill at $16. "Ironman", "OB4CL", etc. were $8. The same goes for Pac and "AEOM". The double CD is 2x as expensive as his regular albums.

Fred.

I guess I can see why, they figure its only one purchase, but its 2 cd's and if they were both released seperatly the same day for say 8$,there's no double disc I can remember ever purchasing that I wouldn't have bought both...maybe woulda bee nice to not have to buy both at one time when u a kid and think 16$ is a lot of money:pachaha:...but I still woulda went back, even after the fact of u buyin it and its not as good as u expected, there's still always enough good songs that u would wanna have both in my experience...

Far as the notorious thugs biggie verse, all that he killed bone with they own style is sum revisionist shyt right there....for one thing folks wuznt obsessed with who embarrased who on every song on sum exageration shyt....nikkas act like it ain't no such thing as they all killt it now:russ:...all of a sudden One wuz just horrible and no match:childplease:

I promise you Biggie was the star of that song. Bone were fine. Bizzy was annoying at the start but just them being there made the song work.

The whole song is a "hey Biggies rapping like Bone...and he's good'" moment. This isn't rocket science. It's a dumb rap song.

when '92-93 babies were in middle & high school, bone thugs had hits, were winning awards, and had a platinum movie. meanwhile, wutang was doing nothing but releasing a bunch of irrelevant internet-hyped albums. going strictly off your logic, wutang is basically just an old group whose legacy is forcefed to the new generation by the media. "theyre that '90s group that we're supposed to like".

when these kids were trying to lose their virginity in '07, alot of the girls they chased had "lil luv" as their ringtone. where was wutang at?

man, you wutang fanatics really do live under the stairs.

wutang hasnt done anything eventful in 16 years.

why you would think a new wutang album would be an event is beyond me, seeing that their last 3 reunions were irrelevant.

missy is an industry pick and not a threat to east coast grails.

now please answer the question that dude asked you. why is bone not on the list, when they outsold a good number of people that made the cut with one album.

i remember other names like master p being conveniently left off the list as well.

basically all the artists that east coast elitists go out of their way to downplay. its times like this where im not even mad that the industry phased the east coast out in favor of the garbage coming out of the south in recent years.

in other words, you dont have chit to say. youre up here misquoting me and resorting to childish insults when youre supposedly pushing 30.

you mad because im breaking up your little cheerleading practice that you have going on in here? you sick freak.

i didnt list any songs.

and yes, this songs are very well-known.

i never brought up the record sales. since youre on my d*ck so hard, you should know i dont use that as a main basis for anything. when i drop a post concerning sales, its usually in response to some dumb chit that people like yourself try to say.

are you seriously arguing about influence? bone is more influential than wutang.

multiple people have already shot down your little "where is bone thugs now?" argument and proved that the real question is "WHERE IS WUTANG NOW, MUSICALLY!!??" but instead of addressing that, you want to stay in denial and continue on with ridiculous claims. chit like this is why i dont take you seriously.

and homie, i dont care about your so-called life-story.:ducktales: save that chit for somebody else.

thats whats so funny about this. they know they aint right.

imagine if we were to do a thread about the goat groups. and we're mentioning albums like raising hell, e.99 eternal, straight outta compton, it takes a nation, etc etc.........................and then here come wutang stanboys talembout ironman & ob4cl.

i wonder what these same suckaducks think about the hot boys. its funny how wutang gets championed as a goat group on here based off of solo material but these same dudes never mention the hot boys. if they were from new york, they would be in their top 5s as well.

Lil Luv? Never heard of it.
E1999 doesn't belong with the albums you listed. No Hot Boy has a classic album or was above average as a rapper during that era.

OBFCL is an undisputed classic album. It is a mythical album even. The purple tape!

He had more potency and spit the grimiest street shyt I ever heard. Nas was selling out. There isn't an 'everyday gunplay' in Nas' folder.

Everyday Gunplay is classic. P was a beast back then and my personal favorite of all time. To me the Infamous is the greatest album of all time. I was a Mobb Deep Stan before the word was invented. I once claimed that Big Noyd's EP was as good as Illmatic.

But if I'm being objective, P wasn't seeing Illmatic lyrically and it wasn't even close. Nas was just perfect on that album.

:laff: its ridiculous and they know it,they'd never go for it if it didn't work in wutangs favor here to try to pull that shyt, good point with the hotboys:salute:....West Side Connection is sittin pretty over RunDMC,Outkast,PE right about now:heh:...213 as a group and the outlawz are now in top 5 consideration....this shyt has no limits with them....yeah they had better more impactful solo material than MOST groups u can't dispute that, let's ignore the fact they had double and triple the chances by having way more members of just about every group in history...and let's just acknowledge that fact which I think we all have....no need to continue the discussion til they realize u can't count a guest feature of group member,or solo song as a group hit.:wtb:

You got to admit that it's different with the Wu because they were introduced to us as a group.

I think of Outkast the same way actually. You got Big Boi dropping heat and adding to the legacy while Dre is out making Gillette commercials.

P was pretty perfect too but wild thugged. Some of his shyt was so evil but beautiful. They made that horrible world somehow gorgeous.

That verse he has on 'nobody likes me' where he's talking about dude running and getting shot and feeling the blood etc is just so crazy on so many levels. "You ran, started feelin' numb in ya hand..."

And that Noyd EP is classic material.

:what: So you can't like a nikkas verse better because it wasn't fast enough?
That might be the silliest thing I read on this site and every day I read more and more fukkery

Yeah they were sayin this in 97. I have BIG in my top 10 MCs. BI is dope is dope. But he got bodied. Pac is my #1 GOAT and he got bodied by bone. Just a fact bruh.

Obviously - either one of us stating it doesn't make it a fact.

I guess we just got to chalk this up to two very different perspectives on reality.

Now when you say Big got bodied is that just hyperbole? Or do you really think one of the dudes from Big was leaps and bounds ahead of Big on the song? And are you talking lyrics or rhyme style?

i know one thing.

wu stans better bow down and lick lee-lee's luciousness because if it wasnt for SWV, wutang would probably be BCC status in terms of mainstream recognition.

i'll do the honors if yall have too much pride.

first off, lol @ your singles list. you even resorted to including "da rockwilder" which is by a completely different group. i cant even see the goal post anymore.

lol @ a verse being classic because he tried to flip their style.

ole participation trophy @$$ nuccas.

he didnt flip anything. he failed. yet, his verse is considered legendary just cuz.:smh:

also, bizzy merked him in every possible category on that track. not just rappin fast.

SWV? Because of the Anything remix? And what are the quotables from Bizzy's verse? And I don't think anyone has been able to list a Bone verse that every hip hop head knows all the words to.

I would rather listen to this type of beat and lyrics by Bone

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony - Shoot 'Em Up - YouTube

Rather than this type of shyt

Wu-Tang Clan - 01 Bring Da Ruckus - 36 Chambers - YouTube

Seriously brehs. This wu trac and tracks like these are God awful. I seriously don't understand how anyone ould call tracks like this dope. Listen to the lyrics too. :what:

:what:

:heh:

:snoop:

That's a revealing post. At the end of the day these two groups are just apples and oranges. And everything about Bring the Ruckus is classic. That was the last song you should have used.
