still frustrated at last night. At home in the final. Early lead with Italy looking all over the place. This was the final to win.

The lack of tactical changes/ subs was comical. Italy weren't great last night but England after the first 30 mins barely made them work.

Mancini isn't even a great tactician historically and yet he was the one changing the match with his decisions. They had an entirely different front 3 by the end of the match while we still had a knackered Sterling and Kane.

Having said that, I'd be praising Southgate as a genius if Rashford scores that pen, as the momentum would have been with England from that point in the shootout

I'm in two minds regarding penalty takers.

I'm assuming Southgate put on Sancho and Rashford to take penalties because they practiced and did well (has to be because Sancho never took a penalty before). I don't like it because taking penalties in training is not the same as finals of the Euro Cup. Star players who are used to the spotlight and pressure like Sterling and Grealish should be stepping up and taking on that responsibility.

It's all good when it's time to show off your calves all in the videos :dame: but when it's time to step up you shouldn't be hiding behind a 19 year old.

But my second thought is if Sterling/Grealish were scared and said no, then you really don't want them going up there anyway. If you're scared, you're scared :manny:

Unless a virtual reality chamber is created nothing will ever replicate taking penalties in a real-life match.

I think Kane, Sancho and Rashford were designated takers, Maguire and Saka volunteered the rest ducked out. Props to Southgate for shielding his players but I don't believe him.

My boss's brother went to see the game in one of the public gatherings.

He said everyone were nice before but when them players missed the penalties they all turned on him and his crew.

Shouting racial slurs and I think one even got beat up a bit

He said they were lucky to get out of there

After mancini put Immobile to the sword, Italy looked fluid.
Southgate Leaving Kane on for the entirety of the game was purely commercial - absolutely nothing to do with football.

Don’t rate him as a great player but I give Maguire credit, stepped up and didn’t wilt under the pressure.

That's peak England, man. Legit. The moment I saw it was going to Pens I knew they would lose.

But again, Donnarumma proving his move to PSG legit, Southgate out-managed AGAIN, England fans casting a cloud over the whole thing with the "its coming home" :laff:

Watch Saka, Rashford, and Sancho light it up in the Prem next season.
If you listen to the song, it covers what will always happen to England. They are just going to throw it away.

He was also probably influenced by advanced stats. I just saw this posted elsewhere:
