a lot of people have this narrative that lawyers are bad, corrupt, etc. and you're probably not going to change their opinions.

narrative yeah but what about all the ones who know their clients are guilty and try to get them off

im not even knocking that but isnt that true of a substantial amount of lawyers? its their fukkin business to know that their client is guilty but to make sure they can weasel out of getting punished?

On the other hand lawyers are corrupt for getting criminals off, the same criminals a large portion of these boards were happy weren't getting arrested.

i think the most telling part of our legal system is the fact that these DA's who start out prosecuting criminals, end up at the law firms having made the connections in the system to get their clients off, for big money

I wont argue for a second that SOME are in bed with eachother but acting like ALL lawyers are is just silly.
And from a professional, "I gotta get paid", standpoint you'd be an idiot not to follow the money.

EVERYONE, Criminal, cop, da, prosecutor, judge, all the way up to the pres are all just following the money.

As Bar pointed out, attacking and criticizing a few examples, hell even many examples, of corrupt PEOPLE only serve as a distraction from a corrupt SYSTEM. Hard to blame the people playing the game by the rules of the game.

I don't know that they're proving anything other than that they are acting like children.
Let's hold off on saying they are proving anything until we get some more data. A week's worth of no cops is hardly proof of anything.

Give it a few months, if shyt stays cool then yup, it was a farce.
