Even the extras were off. didn't they supposed to have like 17 people onboard? where did all those extras come in after that :wtf: First everybody on board is in street clothes but the Charlize Theron character is in a Star Trek suit
then later you see old dude and he's got his own personal security and physicians decked out in Star Trek suits.. the extras fighting the infected dude in the bridge part of the ship(I didn't get that storyline about dude at all).. but it was like where are all these people coming from? nothing matched.. you had all hell breaking loose outside but inside people were like ladi-da/ho hum on some :smoker: shyt. The black goo- what's complete story on that shyt?

-you know that Prometheus was? Its was the one bad season of the television show Lost but in outer space. The black goo is the smoke monster, The Robot is Jacob, Irdis Is Eko, etc

She along with the old man, David and the people prepping the old man were all a part of the Weyland Corporation. That's why they had the different attire. The other people were all from varying fields of science. They were brought as part of the discovery team.

The reason why they were "ho hum" about landing on another planet is because in the Alien mythos they have already traveled in space and come in contact with alien lifeforms.

A movie still has to stand on its own story wise. This was supposed to be separate from the Alien mythos. You should never have to pre read or read something after seeing a movie to understand whats going on. Even movies based on novels should be able to stand on their own without having to go and read the novel to get whats going on

Nah, it's the same universe. There was a lot of shyt thrown into this movie for the "Alien fanboys" most of which I didn't catch because I haven't watched those movies in years.

It's a fair criticism. Maybe they should have broadened it some but if they did it probably wouldn't have turned a profit.

Rated-R movies in general are having a tough time at the box office these days.

Fassbender/The Android's actions throughout the film didn't add up or make sense by the end of the movie. I was like are you good, are you evil, are you working for the old man, doing your own thing, what are you doing?

I disagree. To me, Fassbender was the best part of the movie. All his actions made sense to me in the context of his character- he's an android with a grudge against the humans. Remember how he keeps repeating that quote from Lawrence of Arabia: he does feel pain at his treatment, but he keeps telling himself not to mind it. He has more knowledge than any of the humans, but they treat him like a butler. The only person who affords him some level of respect is his creator, Weyland, but even he says that David can't truly be his son because he's not human (notice how disappointed he looks in that scene.) They treat him like he's not conscious/self-aware, but he spends the whole movie disproving that by making autonomous decisions. He actually does feel, and he shows it, too. He also has no experience and, despite his sentience, is not human, so there's also a childlike quality to him.

In short, he's out for himself. Knowledge and curiosity are what makes him tick, which explains pretty much everything he does in the movie. That's why he opens the door, that's why he "poisons" Holloway when Weyland tells him to, etc, that's why he's fascinated by the engineers, etc. I also think he purposely got old man Weyland killed- he knew the engineer would try and kill him.

ya they fukked this movie up with that retarded black goo, why ? who wrote that part in?
like what is the exact point of the goo, especially seeing as they didn't explain it...retarded.

what would be the harm of the protagonist JUST being the space jockeys? why do movies have to be so ADD and full of random shyt? smgdh

why did they make it so it killed david :snoop: they could have had a great scene at that moment, but they spoiled it with some lazy quick killing. smgdh

the first of the movie was retarded aswell....that made pretty much zero sense in reality.

where was the holigram shyt coming from that showed the space jockeys running? point? :snoop:

movie ran to fast aswell

like the 2 find the painting at the first of the movie and then basically the next scene they are in stasis :childplease:

all these old ass movie directors and writers need to retire and call it a day, ur movies are ass brahs

When its all said and done the writers tried to be too ambitous and def put wayy to much shyt into this. They should of set out to make this either a blatant reboot of the Alien franchise or something completely seperate. Instead it just came off confused as shyt storyline was and I paid attention to it fully and even found myself:what: at some parts.

I would of loved to see where the storyline could of went with the engineers seperate from the Alien shyt cuz Im realizing none of that shyt fits and Ive been going over this shyt in my head for 24 hrs now. This movie could of done the same numbers off the first set of trailers alone.
