I don't even know what to think about him anymore, and that's a HUGE falloff when I was all about him. It's not even about people trying to tear him down the second he took office, but some things just off with me.

if you think Harper's not going to war when the US asks him to assist, think again. Had he been in power during the start of the iraq war, canadian troops would have been sent and still be there to this day

I dont think they will intervene as
they cannot do a Libya, this requires 5 times the resources of Libya, and troops on the ground.
Air strikes will only knock out the air assests, and heavy armour of the Syrian army.

Seeing how badly they are using these assests, it think NATO will do them a favor.


With only a no-fly zone, I see a brief roll back of the Syrian army, followed by improved performance and defeat of the rebels again but on a narrower front.
This improved performance will push NATO into moving ground troops.

The reason why the Syrian army is performing badly is because they have not been listening to their Hezbollah and Iranian advisors on the ground. The changes required from them clashed with their political aims.

The Iranians advised reduced use of tanks and airstrikes, focusing them on smaller number of objectives, more intelligent use of infantry.

This collided with the egos with what remains of the Syrian general staff ..
Air strikes will see them shut the fuk up, and give greater control to Iranian specialists and competent Syrian officers.

But, I don't think Obama has the balls.

I dont think you know much about the syrian military, they cant implement a no fly zone for a reason. the syrians posses some very high end missiles from the russians. like the s-300. theres a reason warships are in the region but very far away where only tomahawks can reach, because the syrians have yakhont missiles. these missiles obv cant be used internally that would just be dumb, they're MEANT for military, not rebels.

the U.S isnt going to war, they're just going to knock out chemical warehouses using tomahawks from a far. They're not trying to invade, or tip any balance just keep chemicals out the war.
