Just googled and l now know Link is Zelda.

I've never played the games nor kept up with it but of course I have heard of Zelda. I thought Zelda was the name of the character.

Scorpion is FAR more recognizable than Ryu outside of FGC. Ryu came first but that doesnt make him iconic.
