Are sports team allegiances in your city/area racially, culturally, geographically or generationally divided ?

What's definition older? Why was they not colts fans if they old?
Like 50 plus from what I’ve observed. But their kids are Ravens fans. It’s also very likely those people grew up closer to DC and moved out to those counties

I’ve never met a person a Baltimore Colts fan but I don’t be in B-More like that

i think there was a great migration of white people from pittsburgh in the 70s, so now if you see a working class white millennial anywhere in america, there is a chance he was raised to be a steeler fan. amazingly, there are at least a dozen sports bars and restaurants catering to steelers fans in arizona and the clientele is white working class.

we have a similar situation with dodgers and cowboys fans out here but the demo with them can be more diverse in race and class. almost every mexican who isnt a cardinals fan is a cowboys fan by default.
Steelers fans were heavy in the DMV

And they heavy down here in Austin too. It’s unbelievable how many fans they have.

ATLANTA
Native brehs here really fukk with the Falcons heavy, plus they seem to like whatever NBA team was popular when they were kids, Hawks dont get much love.

Cacs here in Atlanta are moreso fans of college teams. The cacs at my job usually are college football first, then Braves, then NFL. Their football teams seem to vary. When NBA teams come up, its usually a Maga lite rant about how they dont watch the NBA, and they liked it before it got political, and a bunch of other fragile white man bulllshyt.

North Side vs. South Side for Cubs vs. Sox goes without saying.

But there's exceptions for who's a fan of who. A lot of times it's also blue collar (Sox) vs. white collar (Cubs) for these two teams. I know hood MFers that love the cubs tho.

Unpopular opinion but NY Jets fans are mostly outside of NY/NJ and NY Giants fans are mostly from NY/NJ

In NYC, I rarely come across a Jets fan lol

niners fans are mostly fat mexicans, polynesians and nikkas who aint even from the bay area.

Newer rams fans are mexicans older Rams fans are almost exclusively cacs and i say that as a rams fan.

UK fans run the gamut between preppy cacs and hillbilly trash but 95% cac at any rate. Any breh who is a UK fan is a weirdo given their history :mjpls:.

It seems overall Black People fukk with Falcons heavy while whites and older black men fw the Braves

Don’t see anyone really LOVE the Hawks

White people still want the Thrashers back

Atlanta United is who transplants root for lol

As far as college, if you’re in the city you a GT fan but outside a Bulldog fan.

Views From The X
It used to be different and I think it's staring to change back.

The Yankees use to be the nice cracca squad, with all the great tradition and the symbol of pure American baseball.
The Mets was for the real NYers.
U can tell by the colors of the team.

The blue with orange or red is the real NY team colors.
That was definitely during the 80s when the Mets had Strawberry, Gooden, etc. I'm a 90's baby, but I got older fam that grew up in the 80's and were Mets fans despite being from The Bronx.

I remember an old coworker of mine in his 40's telling me if you was a real New Yorker back in the day, you was a Mets fan. He would always say "The hood didn't fukk with no Don Mattingly" :heh:

Fanbases that overlap with each other?

For example, most Dolphins fans in Miami-Dade county/South Florida are also Heat fans.
