The only one delusional is you because you can think you can fool everyone on thecoli that everything you say is infallible and so insightful when all your counter arguments amount to nothing more than ad hominems.

:childplease:

I'm Ashanti and Trini, grew up in a Jamaican neighbourhood in Canada, and lived in NY for half my adult life.

and honestly, it's all the same shyt. lol

Everywhere you go, black people is black people.

They're going to be overtly spiritual, they're going to be TOO hospitable, they're gonna have a penchant for poetic speech and storytelling, they're gonna stew ANY vegetable, they're going to have an authoritarian parenting style, they're going to kiss/suck their teeth, they're going to depend heavily on community, etc.

America, Caribbean, Africa, Europe... :manny:

Only difference is African Americans actually use their dishwashing machines. :lupe:

"LITERALLY" Yoruba and Catholic? :mjlol:

Literally?

Y'all really just saying random shyt now. And you idiots dapping them too. :laff:

Know a whole lot of NOTHING.

Voodou came from the Fon and Ewe people who now populate modern day Benin.

Vodun.

Yoruba is just a small part, like many other African influences.

And the roman catholic christian shyt got pushed into voodou after cac missionaries came through.

You've never heard people refer to Haiti as "Africa in The New World"?

Im talking the deeper roots of salsa not salsa itself which is a Creolized modern dance

"Africa in The New World."

No, man. That's only you. Stop taking the random words of cacs as gospel.

"the deeper roots of salsa".

Semantics, breh. I can argue the same about "the deeper roots of voodou, not voodou itself."

There are indeed similarities between most black African cultures. The Sahel is more exception than rule because of its proximity to North Africa. Carribean and dispora are also largely not descended from Sahel or South Africans.

A large number of AA are descended directly from the Mande people of the Mali Kingdom. It is well known by AA and the Whites in America that the earliest AA slaves were Mandingos or actually in many cases Bambara, Dyula, Mende, etc.
