stay delusional doggie.....one day your stalking will pay off when you actually craft an argument worth my time and brain power to respond :mjlol:

The only one delusional is you because you can think you can fool everyone on thecoli that everything you say is infallible and so insightful when all your counter arguments amount to nothing more than ad hominems.

Fwiw there are black cubans that still chant in yoruba whIle drumming. Most older afro cubans are like a couple generations removed from africa. Also I've seen videos of the maroon in Jamaica saying words in twi (a language in ghana)

EDIT: I will say the remnants of 'African cuture' retained in the Americas were mostly superficial like music, phenotype ofcourse, and a few word here and there but that's where it ends.

Seen the video of the man speaking in old patois too. Yh the connection to Ghana is close.... Very close

Superficial? You haven't gone to every part of the diaspora to claim that. Music and language is nothing superficial and it's definitely more than that.

Y'all seem insecure that some cultures held to their respective African heritage the hardest.

We can test the black disapora's base relations by observing their traits. Since most all of the black dispora has the West/Central African's characteristic athleticism--which the Sahel, Hornet, and South Africans outside of the Zulu (who came down from Central Africa)--do not possess, the black dispora's gene base is West/Central African.

West/Central African culture of old is largely drums, dancing, fried chicken, old gods, gumbo soup, yams, etc. I'm sure I'm missing shyt but you get the point.

In my travels,We all the same

We all like burning meat, drums/base, booty, chatting shyt and all have drunkard uncles

But it goes Zoes>>rastas>>south americans>> other caribbeans >> AAs >>New York people>Nigerians>> European blacks>>atlanta when it somes to being closer to real African culture

Is that why haitians get so much hate in the western half of this giant ball we live on? :mjcry:

The answer is no. Hatians aren't as African "culturally" as people think. This isn't to say they don't African influences but their culture is correctly identified as "Creole" for a reason, which all AfroNeworlders fall under by default. For some reason people think Haiti is 100% intact old world African in culture which isn't true and this myth is based on the fact that Haiti/Haitians are the "purest" on avg genetically of most larger new world black ethnic groups. Now usually when people say something is "African" they're talking in a stereotypical forest-jungle-bantu type of way which is why I agree with Essdot right here

A lot of people think of African culture as simply drumming and chanting, dancing and voodoo.

Overall, I think the closest to that type of African culture in the new world in Cuba and Brazil.

Your posts only make sense if you're referring to mixed race African tribes which variously live in the Sahel, which is why I mentioned it separately. Else the Sahel at base is the same culture/race as the rest of Central/West Africa.

they aren't superficial but they also are no longer "African" in the purest sense. They are Creolized in the Americas with European influences.

As a Carribean man I can say it is no myth. Haitian food and culture has some French influence, but also more African purities than most other black disporas. Voodoo , for example , exists on West/Central African folklore as curses and witches. My people only don't do the same because we are too perverted by Christianity. We even don't do the same as Grenadians anymore even though we are originally Grenadians.
