you charge whatever nikkas are willing to spend. My barber bumped his price up to 30$..... i still go, but aint now way in hell hes getting a tip.

I pay $25 now, I remember back in 2010 ish I was only paying $10-$12 for a haircut plus shave, my facial hair doesn't really grow extremely thick.

That shyt has gone up like $10-$15 in under a decade.

I might go get me a pair of Wahl's and learn how to line and fade my own shyt.

I go to the barbershop like twice a week. Usually one day for a cut and 3-4 days later for an edge up and keep my line looking fresh.

I know a lot of cats only go like once every two or three weeks but I like my line and taper to stay looking fresh. That 2-3 weeks doesn't cut it for me.

I bought all 3 below and cut my own shyt. Not as sharp as going to a barber but after a year of practicing I no longer have those Wayne Brady, RG 3 sloped hairlines I had when starting out.

People who still paying 20-25 for a full cut most be living in Big cities with high minority population. Where I’m staying at a standard full cut is 30. The dudes that are actually nice is 40-50. So he’ll yeah prices going up. I use to pay 25 with tip for a full cut a few years back

You're probably right. Even in NYC most barbers charge around 30.

I trim face and beard down with clippers number two myself every now and then. Come out feeling and looking smooth and clean, no maintenance. My barber wants 25 to trim face and beard like that shyt takes like 20 minutes total.

I pay $35 including tip and I go every 2 weeks.. I bought me some liners and I'm cleaning my line every few days once I learn how to fade its a wrap..

Black barbershops are 1 of 2 black businesses we have and y'all wanna give that up?

Pricing out your market will lead to others undercutting those businesses. You can't keep raising prices, especially as wages stay stagnant.

$20 used to cover everything growing up glad my barber refuses tips, but I’m paying 30 for a fade. If my hair wasn’t long I would never step foot in a shop again. I just can’t afford to fukk up learning to cut my hair now that it’s long, but when I had the low cut, no way I was coming outta pocket.
