Akuma's character is already depicted as evil, his "good/sane" version of himself has never been shown. He is brown because of the dark hadou consuming him. The Oni form is true evil personified of himself. The same way they drew Oni with a grey and blue pallette to depict him as evil they could of done that to Violent Ken and Evil Ryu.

Why would having brown skin be evil but grey is even more evil - where is the logic.

Dhalsim isn't black (the fukk are you claiming Indians for ?), and like I said Street Fighter III is the exception. The character design in that game stands out in a general sense too.

When they decided to give Sean a sister in SFV, they made her a cac and made Sean a cac with red hair because they realized he looked to dignified and normal for their liking.


Dee Jay wasn't designed by Japanese artists, a Capcom USA employee designed him when they had an extra character slot, but decided to nix a Fei Long "clone" character. The boxer who predated Balrog in SF 1 also looked retarded/down syndrome, and was literally described in the character bio as having low intelligence.
