See this is a complex issue.
My theory is, because being gay is so stigmatized in the black community a lot of men who are otherwise gay have a wife / gf, to please their family, friends, and most importantly keep them off-guard.

I completely disagree & I’m tired of black people giving these DL guys a pass.

This is not a complex issue at all & the root of this practice is selfishness. There is a specific type of black woman who will date a bisexual guy. It’s usually the extreme feminist/liberal or free spirited type. It’s the type that feels like someone is a bigot if they will not date a bi guy. For instance, I was surprised when I learned how many women would sleep with Frank Ocean. While it was not the majority, the amount of chicks that were down, was eye opening.

But, these DL guys seemingly do not want that type. Instead of having an honest & open marriage with these free spirited women, they want the cookie cutter girlfriend/wife to complete their straight image. It’s not about the women that they deceived or the black community who doesn’t diminish the LGBT community any more than anyone else. This is about their wants & their lack of consideration for the collateral damage. As I said before, it’s pure selfishness.

I went back and forth for dayssssss in that Markeith Rivers thread explaining this whole DL shyt. Not that I condone it BUT I get why it’s necessary for nikkas to not be honest with themselves.

if i can be honest , i feel like some coli brehs are on the downlow, im not judging , everybody likes to have fun once in a while ,some are trolling tho, alot probably have never been around gay people so all that they know about gays is second contact

I had no idea that there are black women open to it.




But yeah I'm not cool with deceptiveness, selfishness and potentially spreading diseases.

With that said there's levels to the dating world and it's not always fair. "Good guys" don't always come across "good girls" and vice versa. There's a lot of unfair and selfish people in both genders and in all sexual orientations. And a lot of innocent and well intentioned people get fukked over.

It’s definitely a more complex issue than what you make it seem. Especially when it’s 2017 and you got fathers shooting their sons dead for being gay.

Homophobia is real. Black people, for whatever reason, don’t believe in intersectionality. You have a problem with gay people...well what about the Black people who identify as gay? I still don’t believe you can be down with the Black pride if you’re turning your backs on your own people just because of their sexuality.
