Are 5 days that big of a difference than 3?

3 days lifting - push/pull/legs or alternate upper/lower

2 days of pure cardio - 45-60 mins, spin class, incline tread, stair master etc

Not sure if you struggle with a 5 day lifting routine or 5 days of exercise period. A 5 day split for lifting is asking for failure, too many workout to juggle if you’re not consistent, but 5 days of exercise shouldn’t be an issue.

5 days of lifting

I used to do five days, but since January I've been doing six days push/pull/legs, or rather legs/pull/push, because I like to start my week with lower body and end the week with upper body.

I was only gonna do it for six weeks and go back down, but my body is used to it now. I probably won't reduce the days until my next cut.

Transformation: 5-6 days
Maintenance: 3-4 days

Assuming that you're hitting your workouts like you're suppose.

Is that really true? You can’t really build muscle and transform your body and get stronger with 3 days a week?

This is why I like 3 days a week, I worked out Monday and haven’t worked out since, but I can still work out sat and sun, then I can wait until fri if I want and workout fri, sat, and sun.

It’s so flexible, but I don’t want it to make my progress so slow. fukk!!

Not likely

You can lose weight doing virtually nothing but adding muscle with only 3 days of work..............

Me thinks it’s not likely

How many people in here gotta say it?

I’m just saying what he said makes it sound like 3 days is just a waste of time

Before this turns into one of those threads, I’ll just end it right here.

If you think that you are going to gain noticeable lean muscle mass on a three day routine then you are fooling yourself and your likely capabilities.

You can have a great base of fitness on three days but transformation like building muscle........

All that said maximize your three days for a long enough period and you might get the urge to do more. It’s always some sort of a process.
