Are 5 days that big of a difference than 3?

its hard for me to be consistent going to the gym 5 times a week, there’s only so many days you can miss, and when I do my week of working out is fukked.

With 3 days i have so much more flexibility and can be more consistent, but I wanna know is there a big difference going 3 days instead of 5 with muscle gain and fat loss?

Depends what your goals are and how the intensity is on your 3 days.

There is no clear blueprint on gains etc but just what works for you, and your lifestyle

I’m tryna lose hella fat, like 30-50 pounds as quick as I can.

I think I’ll be more consistent with 3 days because it’s more flexible, but I know with 5 days I can eat more and it’ll probably make me lose weight faster.

3 or 4 full body workouts work well for fat loss. Only do 4 if your recovery is on point.
You need 2 total body workouts for this to work.

I understand I struggle doing 5 days myself these days but you just need to get a 3 day program down and stick to it. You can cover multiple body parts per day on 3 day split.

So you think it’s worth it to just stick to what’s easy for me? Got you. Just hope that it isn’t a big difference for me losing fat and making gains.

Yeah because otherwise you will have a 5 day plan and then when you miss some days you will be all over the place knowing which muscle groups to do etc. If you miss Back on Tuesday do you then do it Wednesday or continue to do whatever was meant to be Wednesday's workout etc.

If you have a 3 day program and you can definitely stick to it then this is the best way forward then if you can go more than 3 days then its a bonus I guess

The longest I was able to do it consistently was like 2 months. I feel so bad because it’s been like 4 years of this shyt, I am so disappointed in myself. I wasted so much time and my 20s not being in excellent shape because of my bad eating habits and workout habits.

I only go 3-4 times on average I never could do 6 and 7 especially once I realized that your body grows and improves during resting. But it depends on your goals and program I just want to be strong as possible.

Is your diet on point?

And there are times when I go to the gym and spend as much time on my cellphone as I do working out...

These are days I dont even feel like seeing a gym..

The trick is for your brain to interpret the gym as a second home to the point where you begin to go on days you dont want to go...

Your mind will always create an excuse to stay in its comfort zone..

I’m getting there with the diet lost 3-4 pounds.

Yeah I never feel like going, but at least with 3 I can go one day then take 2 off and finish off the week. I love that!! But I hope it doesn’t make weight loss slower.

Depends.......................

For Fat Loss 3 days of lifting is probably fine but they need to be good sessions IMO. That said if you aren’t walking those other three days then you are probably doing yourself a disservice. Lastly, if you (talking generally) think you are going to see any real changes to muscle or strength on three days it's proably not going to be what you hope for.

For muscle gain I think anything less than 4 is not wise.

Qualifier being a lot of things can work but less days usually mean a slower progression than people expect or can manage.

So it is a big difference then? So if I do the same exact workouts but I do more on the 3 days, 5 days is still better, Thing is what if I’ve been trying 5 days for years, but never could be consistent, Would it be wise to keep trying that?
