It’s a bit of an unfair comparison to iron man since tickets in 2008 were maybe $7-8 while they’re all $12-16 on average now, but it passed the gross for that movie a while back. Wan did it . Still, I’d like to see all these movies adjusted for inflation so we can get an idea how many tickets each of them sold.

I’m surprised it’s sales are so lopsided in favor of internationally. Almost 72% of its sales are overseas. It’s domestic gross still passes poppins worldwide gross

Most of the movies on that list came out less than 3-4 years ago so it wouldn't be that much different, Aquaman still made more $ than them.

I didn't include The Dark Knight which Aquaman passed worldwide yesterday but that over ten years ago... The Dark Knight adjusted for inflation is near $700M domestic alone

Yeah I mentioned that it passed iron man in total gross a long time ago. Even adjusted for inflation, iron man would’ve likely finished around $900-950 million I’d guess.

I've said this before but it really bares repeating: people expected way too much from Mary Poppins. Like, did no one stop to think that maybe a musical set in 1940s Britain about a magic nanny that was a sequel that to a film that came out when our grandparents were children wasn't the most relevant shyt in 2019? I haven't seen it but I don't doubt it's an enjoyable movie, and it's not even doing that poorly. I'm just amazed people were talking about it like it was Star Wars or some shyt.

Like, read the room, people. In a year where movies with diverse casts and creative teams and telling diverse stories were exploding, why did anyone think something as utterly.....white as Mary Poppins was going to be this juggernaut? I truly will never understand.

A lot of old execs are out of touch. He'll, Black Panther wasn't in the initial MCU plan. Diversity sells,now more than ever. People who dont understand that, will get broke and be left behind.
