Apple is in the business of making money. They have somehow convinced fools that having an iPhone makes them superior human beings and they should spend more money to maintain that superiority.
stop lying. Its the greatest hustle ever tbh. Normally that sort of stupid cac shyt doesn't make its way into our culture either, but it has in this case. You really got grown black men stanning phones out here. The shyt is wild. The average adult just wants cross platform messaging to work seamlessly as it should. But in the U.S. Apple managed to get people to stan so hard that they are literally against this sort of common sense shyt.
I can't really process nikkas treating phone brands like its their fukkin hood. These nikkas are goofies in the worst way.
good points but this blue message thing still works even if it's really inconveniencing the iPhone user. it's telling that user that these people you're talking with isn't apart of this world you're in. even if they're friends or family. We all have that one friend/family member who doesn't have the same phone so we nag them until they do.Here's the thing. I'm fine with them not bowing to industry standards. Just don't get high and mighty about security when you are actively making messaging less secure by your actions. And the only reason they are doing it is because of the stock price. Apple phones would still sell well if their was no blue/green bubble rift. But the stock price is saturated. It's only so much higher that thing can go. That's why they are heavily investing into the entertainment side now. They need more income to keep this machine turning. It's a silly game. But that's a rant for another day.
The thing is, you'll have Apple fans arguing against something like RCS for no other reason than because Apple is against it. And in reality, iPhone users are the only ones truly affected. If you, me, and 3 other people are in a group chat and 3 of us have androids and 2 people iphones, the iPhone users are the only ones that suffer with the weird group chat. Android users see everything just fine. And apple doesn't have to adopt RCS to fix the flow of the messages and make it easier for their users to read. But it's that frustration that they hope will keep people using the iPhone because their users believe that by switching they are switching to an inferior product based on their experience dealing with others who use said product. When in actuality, the fault lies with the people that make THEIR phone. in this case, the iPhone and Apple. It's all very silly.
Exactly!!
Android will forever be better off the strength of open sourceWhat are the legit reasons?
I’ve never heard one
I know a breh who went through the entirety of college texting and calling hoes with an ipod.Blue message is overrated for several reasons. If you don't got internet you can't get messages, if you got wifi or a hotspot ypu can still send messages from a phone with no service. So it ain't even a real status indicator.
Google will sell ya shyt
Apple won’t
We gon be apple forevaaaaaaaaaa
But that's even more reason to implement RCS. People who like Android are gonna stick with Android. You like the iPhone you'll stick with it. There will never be one without the other. I would completely understand Apple's side if by implementing RCS you did away with iMessage but that's not the case. All RCS does is allows for encryption across the board, and allows chats to stay in tact. All the other features of iMessage stay exclusive to iMessage. It's almost as if Apple is saying that without iMessage, the iPhone loses an extreme amount of it's value. Which begs the question, why in the hell are they so expensive? Why the hell are all of your products at a premium if it's really the iMessage app that's holding it all together?good points but this blue message thing still works even if it's really inconveniencing the iPhone user. it's telling that user that these people you're talking with isn't apart of this world you're in. even if they're friends or family. for me I probably will never switch to android because then I would have to switch my computer and iPad. so that's probably why it's not so easy to convert apple users to android users on top of the phone message thing.
and I have friends/family that will never switch from android so I just deal with it
yeah the entire thing is very silly but people start to latch onto these things because it becomes apart of their identity.
this was a pretty good artcile on RCS as a whole too
New Google site begs Apple for mercy in messaging war
Google is tired of losing so badly to iMessage, so it wants Apple to adopt RCS.arstechnica.com
yeah but the way apple sees it is that only android truly benefits because then there's no "bubble war" that they're winning in.But that's even more reason to implement RCS. I don't believe that of course, but it almost seems like they do. There just isn't any good reason that I can see to not implement RCS or developing an even newer standard. For a company that sells itself on how secure they are they should be at the forefront of that fight.
