I saw a clip where the idiots on fresh & fit were talking about dating and texting and mentioned this green text bubble shyt....I was dumbfounded when they were actually serious about it. As an old head, I can't imagine going to the store to buy an iPhone for this reason.

Ok so leave them out the group chat if its that big of a deal. Blame Apple not the consumer. There are legit reasons why people own androids over iPhone. There are several Android phones that are equal to if not better than iPhone.

As for the overtaken claim yeah it’s us only but this problem is really a us problem because overseas more people use WhatsApp and don’t have this complaint like that
As for being the industry standard that’s the case for now but apple has never bowed to something just because it’s the standard and they get away with it because they’re the king right now
I just know apple won’t do it and they’ll make a whole completely different way of messaging before they do it or unless
government steps in like what they’re doing with usb C

I do want to add I have members in my family that won’t move from Android and it’s frustrating texting them

Here's the thing. I'm fine with them not bowing to industry standards. Just don't get high and mighty about security when you are actively making messaging less secure by your actions. And the only reason they are doing it is because of the stock price. Apple phones would still sell well if their was no blue/green bubble rift. But the stock price is saturated. It's only so much higher that thing can go. That's why they are heavily investing into the entertainment side now. They need more income to keep this machine turning. It's a silly game. But that's a rant for another day.

The thing is, you'll have Apple fans arguing against something like RCS for no other reason than because Apple is against it. And in reality, iPhone users are the only ones truly affected. If you, me, and 3 other people are in a group chat and 3 of us have androids and 2 people iphones, the iPhone users are the only ones that suffer with the weird group chat. Android users see everything just fine. And apple doesn't have to adopt RCS to fix the flow of the messages and make it easier for their users to read. But it's that frustration that they hope will keep people using the iPhone because their users believe that by switching they are switching to an inferior product based on their experience dealing with others who use said product. When in actuality, the fault lies with the people that make THEIR phone. in this case, the iPhone and Apple. It's all very silly.

It's really interesting the stance that Apple has taken on this. From a consumer standpoint they are willfully making the iPhone experience worst when communicating through messages with any other device natively that's not an iPhone. The green bubble just means SMS/MMS. Technically if you don't have good signal even between two iPhones in iMessage it will send through SMS/MMS i.e. "Green Bubble". RCS doesn't invite Android users to iMessage or nothing, it's just an upgrade from SMS that includes a bunch of dope features. I'm sure iPhone users are tried of sending highly compressed videos and photos to non-iPhone users, but if it gets more kids to join the cool club and buy an Apple device I'm sure Apple loves it.

Never understood the perception that android cheaper than Apple. My Note costs the same as the latest iPhone.

Its because of the cheap android phones. Lphone users like to act as if the prepaid government phones are the only androids in existence.
