M2 MBP's are just a spec increase. I wouldn't get too excited. the M1 Pro MBP's are still overkill.

New base model doesn’t have thread support, Ethernet port, and the hdr 10+ doesn’t matter that much
2021 model has thread support, Ethernet port, and hdr 10

Wow…what a disappointment these new iPads are. Apple really dropped the ball. I’m not too excited for Ventura or ipadOS16 either. I just hope Ventura fixes how fukked up AppleMusic is across all my devices. My music isn’t syncing correctly. Songs are listed individually instead of underneath one album. Searching for a song is terrible. I press a particular letter, which should take me to the artist’s name as I have my library in alphabetical order, and, instead, nothing happens. Its all just one big mess.

Really the charging port on an iPhone doesn't matter. Wireless charging and MagSafe. On an iPad you have to plug in to charge.

lightning has slower transfer speeds

people dont wanna have multiple cables. whole worlds moved on to usb c but apple wanna stick their head in the sand with lightning. apple themselves have moved to usb c with their MacBook, Apple TV, and iPad lines.

just cuz it doesnt matter to you doesnt mean it doesnt matter to other people.

the USB-C on an iphone would dramatically improve data transfer speed. I backup my phone and ipad on my macbook, and it takes much longer via lightning does vs my ipad with usb-c.

I charge my phone once a day overnight. It can be slow. I don’t think iPhones have fast charge anyway.
