This is huge cause that was one of the MAIN criticisms I've heard of her, that she somehow "hurt New York."
That's a meaningless comparison because those people earning "outrageous salaries" apply from all over the country to work at those companies. Tech folk just relocate wherever the jobs are and they even get paid to move, so what you bytching about? In fact, all those high-paid tech workers moving in can destroy the cost of living - look at how hard it is to get by on a low salary in San Fran, Seattle, New York, etc.
Meanwhile, a manufacturing plant actually employs local people. I agree the lower pay is bullshyt which is why there should be a higher federal minimum wage and better federal union protections to even the playing field.
And posters using "hoe babble" for just anything now.
Nah, I doubt that 25,000 would grow it would actually be the opposite. When companies are applying for tax breaks they lie their asses off about how many people they going to hire. Look at the situation in Wisconsin. They were given nearly $5 billion in tax breaks on the promise of creating 13,000 jobs.
It's been two years so far and they've only hired a few hundred people. They've "promised" they'll be up to 1,500 jobs by next May but no one believes them. At this point it's generally accepted that they will never, ever reach 13,000 jobs.
