he's also apparently not gay, just read an interview where he references a wife. For whatever reason, thought one of them was.
my guess is these guys are going to ascend pretty radically, reading the Variety piece below is just confirm. but what I think is really special is their age and their influences are pretty modern. They referenced Mann, Michael Clayton, Uncut Gems. And for chronicling modern moments from 20 somethings couldn't be better

Vinay shooting Rishi's wife was mostly impulse and a way to make Rishi 'pay' even though he doesn't have a the means.
The problem with the life insurance angles is when someone doesn't die of natural causes (violence or an accident) there has to be a whole investigation carries out and they will find out Rishi was innconsiderable debt from gambling.

Insurance money was the LAST thing on my mind in this scene. He ain’t getting a pay out. He might just end up in jail when all that debt is discovered and Vinay disappears in thin air

He wasn’t involved, just present. I also don’t think Vinay and Rishi conspired for this.
I’m sure Rishi called the police and Vinay probably in prison. Vinay can say whatever he wants but he killed her.
I also don’t think it matters because Rishi is the one character it doesn’t make sense to bring back.
