You could feel it in the first two seasons. I HYPED this show to multiple people in late 2022. Bought a fukking t shirt. Just got that Pier Point hoody, my thinking is that I will meet some Yasmin type who watches the show wearing it.

This last one transcended those, for sure, but the fundamentals were there.

Will you be her Rob? :jbhmm:

see myself in all of them lol - when I realized that a lot of women, were always going to make the safer choice, and that would almost never be me, no matter what they felt, it was a lot easier.

What felt the most like me was, when Henry talked to Yasmin in the pool

"I thought I might get a minute alone with you, and fukk it, anything would be worth that"

That sounds like something like me when I really get in the zone lol

I get the Yasmin 'backlash', but the way they wrote that was really pure and romantic in a classic sense.

Think people don't catch her gesture as she says goodbye, she places her hand over her heart, it's a blink and miss it scene.
Yea.

Truth is when you are operating on that level, many times your relationship won’t even be mainly based on love unless you luck out or purposely choose someone outside of that circle.

I’ve honestly had a solid 2-3x in my life where guys I knew made it expressly clear that our families were in similar fields/industries, they were in the same frat as my relatives, plus we’d have cute kids…sooooo we should start dating. I was like “OMG do you even want to be in love?!! You just want to give it try because our families are similar” :deadrose:

That was me being naive lol

But…yea, that was Yas’s goodbye to Rob and her last time truly making and experiencing love.

She made the practical choice and, given her financial situation and the situation surrounding her dad’s death, she honestly didn’t have a choice. I would’ve locked in with Henry by episode 5. My dead father isn’t about to ruin my fukking life :deadrose: :mjlol:

What tripped me out was announcing the engagement at dinner and Rob not having a heads up. That was still cold to me. He didn’t need to be donning a tux, enjoying the evening and locking eyes with the girl he said he loved and came inside of 4 hrs ago, only to hear that she is engaged to the guy she told him she no longer wanted. I don’t care what anyone says, that shyt was cold and it didn’t have to happen like that.

THAT shyt was for tv.

Had that been anyone else, her card might’ve been pulled right there at dinner!

Lol

I liked how they did it this season and thought it made for tighter storylines in the end. The show still had the occasional horny bits (Harper and bellhop, Eric and party girl, Yas and Henry, etc) but a lot of it was left to the viewers’ imagination.

I was also good on not seeing Harper’s armpit hair this go-round. :hubie:

People have been conditioned watching movies & tv to expect Yas to end up with Rob so it throws them off and reminds them of their own crippling real life almost was relationships

I watched the finale last night. Incredible finale.

One question: I thought that was Rishi's side piece who got her head blown off? His wife had dark hair, this woman was a blonde. Plus Rishi told his wife how much he owed, and I figure she kicked him out after he lost his only source of income with massive debt and a newborn baby on his docket.

That was the wife, she just ended up with a wig from Party City.
