Yeah i caught that i thought it would be him rectifying his actions earlier on when he was shouting abuse at the slaves, since he said their was nothing lower than being a black slaver come to find out he was wrong when he met Stephen who to him was probably the most poor excuse for a human being hed ever seen up untill that point and he realised he was acting just like him, so he freed the slaves he marched into candyland with, but shoots up the caucs in the cabin that sicked the dogs on D'Artagnan

The scene in which Leonardo DiCaprio's character smashes his hand on the table was done with such force that his hand actually began to bleed. DiCaprio ignored it and continued with the scene. This take was the one used in the film.
