shyt was dope. Sam L was fantastic and you can almost say him and Leo and Waltz carried the film. Or at least they carried it a lot more than I expected. I was kinda expecting a bigger role from Jamie but he did good as well. And anytime I get to see Kerry Washington's pretty ass lips on screen is a win for me.

3 things that bothered me...

1. That first Mandingo fight was a bit hard on the eyes.

2. The girl calling Don Johnson "Big Daddy" had me like

3. Leo kinda broke character when he started yelling and you could hear him kinda lose that southern accent.

I really enjoyed this movie and I am starting to notice a major push to make Kerry Washington a sex symbol she just isn't that she's not that pretty. But I really enjoyed the comedic presence of Jamie and Samuel L. Samuel L had a real life Uncle Ruckus going on.

The action was pretty good and over the top. I really wish that QT could of delved into the Germans story a bit more however and also more on when they were in the mountains. Dicaprios character was ok nothing to right home about and not really that dispcable of a character for the time frame.

Jaime killed his role the black excellence in this move was esque and I gladly spent my 5.95 to see this.

Quentin Tarantino acknowledged today during the Django Unchained panel that he definitely saw Kerry Washington's character—slave Broomhilda von Shaft—as an ancestor of supercool investigator John Shaft, of '70s blaxploitation fame.

This was an incredibly deep movie if you really pay attention to the numerous subtexts throughout, the most obvious being that white people, and the notion that they are in some way superior, is ridiculous. They are being made fun of throughout the movie, as the only white person in the film who isn't a cartoon/caricature and has some semblance of real intelligence and humanity is the German.

There is a lot of other shyt in there too, but I honestly don't have the time to go through it all. I'll just say that this movie, I believe, is a critique of race relations in America today, while depicting its ugly and irrational roots, showing us how we've gotten here. Furthermore, this film is arguing that racist white people and liberal whites, who are liberal to feel good about themselves and not because they actually understand racism, are incredibly stupid.

Plus, it's a pretty fun movie. Dicaprio really did his thing in this one.

No one was laughing at that other shyt. The Mandingo fight scene is the only part that bothered me. He put too much emphasis on it.
