^^^ yea, basically. candie was more pissed off of them trying to pull a fast one rather than being straight up about it.

SPOILERS BELOW

Yea. The writer had basically criticized the movie for saying the plot was overly complicated, but QT met with him for that interview and was saying that Schultz' way was to be extravagant. And that if they had been straight up and asked, Candie would have sold. That Schultz could've gone into town and told the Marshall he was going to take in the Sheriff, but instead shot the sheriff and created a very theatrical dilemma.

Also, one thing I noticed in this movie...lots of blood splattering onto white things (cotton, snow, white horse, etc.)

Anyone seen this? Why the fukk is QT sounding like he's trying to do his best impersonation of a black guy? :why:

I've heard his interviews before and never heard him talk like this. You think he pulled out the accent because he's on BET?

This movie was black excellence at its finest....it was pretty much a live action version of the Catcher Freeman episode of Boondocks....

It was WELL cast and everybody did a GREAT job..especially Leo and Samuel...I wouldn't be surprised if they got Oscar nominations off this...but I will be a tad bit :shaq2: IF they win and it had to take Leo and Sam to play a slave master and a Uncle Tom for them to get it..:snoop:..but other then that..they did a GREAT job..

I'm gonna admit, "******" was said TOO much during this movie...but giving the setting and the time period....it was expected....

The flash back scenes were bad and uncomfortable...but they were NOTHING compared to the flash back scenes from Amisted...trust me on that

Visually...the shyt left me like :wow:

The shot where Jamie was riding a white horse with holding his rifle on his way to save his life left me like :to:

The ending had me screaming "BLACK POWER" and putting up my black fist...and looking at white people like :takedat: and :jawalrus: while some of them had that look like :merchant:

After I watched the movie..I realized why Spike Lee was hating on the movie...he was mad he didn't make the movie :rudy:

Quentin Tarantino is one of the G.O.A.T and this movie proved that...from having one movie where he made Hitler do the Harlem shake with them bullets...then in his NEXT movie have a black man kill slave owners.....:ohlawd:..how could u hate that man!?!? :damn:

i just thought about something....

I KNOW someone got the link on deck....:youngsabo:

Honestly you're cheating yourself bad if you watch a bootleg. The crimson blood splattering alone....deserves a big screen viewing

:lawd:

fukk it's still setting in. I fukking loved this movie. Definitely I enjoyed it more than IB, which put me off a bit with all the subtitles. This just felt like more fun. I think initially off the top I like this more than anything he's done since Jackie Brown. I need a repeat viewing. This might end up above Kill Bill too.

Just saw it... Good film... Probably QT's best in terms of cinematography... Dude is pretty much a master at his craft...

I definitely understand spike and other's point... Jews wouldn't want someone making a cross genre spoofish type film on the Holocaust... So black folks should be able to express their dislike... To the people trying to belittle others for feeling a certain way about the film? To the non black ones, just stop... To the black ones, you aren't progressive just because other blacks feel some sort of way and you don't...

I personally don't care, I just want to be entertained. My great grandfather has told me stores about what his grandfather went through in terms of slavery and purchasing his own freedom... I understand the atrocities... I just took this film for spoofish entertainment... Now if Spike wants to go and make a REAL historically slave rebellion type film with a love story... I support that too...

You can't really say the use of the word ****** that much was needed... It really wasn't... But QT overkills a lot of shyt in his films. I honestly am so desensitized by it I could care less...

The final gunfight was :wow:

It's worth a watch... The violence was :blessed:

I am glad Jamie got the role over Will... He is more rugged and suited for the role...

Btw we need that horse stuntin Jamie did at the end of the movie as a gif. I'm on the coli too much when this kinda shyt is running through my mind during the movie :krs:

Im always thinking about gifs during a movie. There were plenty in this one.

The thread is called anyone seen django?:what:

Exactly! I aint puttin shyt in spoilers. I hurried my ass so to see this movie so I could read this thread. Once again, you're walking blindfolded thru a minefield if you read a thread on here before seeing the movie.

alot of stefin fitchett ass nikkas exposing themselves

its ok the n word was used it was used in comedic jest

Watch the movie first then come back and comment. seriouisly.

WHY OH WHY as a people do we insist on keeping power in that word? I can't for the life of me understand, its so ass backwards... it was such a hateful word that cut deep but we INSIST on keep it that way, in order to on hurt ourselves further? we SHOULD be laughing at the word, we should make it wack, we should make the word a joke, not fukking strengthening it...

This. I made the comment during the movie to my friend that this may be the way to improve race relations in this country. My theater was bout 60% black and 40% white and despite the harsh subject matter, everyone was enjoying it and not taking it too seriously.

Okay, one more burning question ..James Remar (Dexter's dad) played TWO characters in the movie. He played Candie's right hand man Butch. But he also played one of the brothers in the VERY opening scene that was marching Django as a slave.

Anyone else pick up on that? He's listed in IMDB as playing both characters, so i know it wasn't just my mind playing tricks.
