He's good and he really would be dope as a villian in one of the Fast and Furious movies or something....but we gon act like its suprising he's not some mega star now....If Wesley was doing straight to dvd movies well before his prime was over,exactly what role would be available for the poor mans Wesley in Hollywood...he's had a great career when you think about it,outdone all expectations.

Unfortunately his career picked up steam kindve late in his career where he's too old to be pushed as a fresh face....if stalone or arnold was 40 before having they first hit and gaining buzz i doubt theyd get great chances once they were old...he didnt get the love back in his young years as he gets now,hit his prime late.

And back when he was young like i said he was the poor mans wesley,if you had a blockbuster to mame which nikka who knows karate was you gon call?

I dont know if theyve ever worked together but it would be dope if him and wesley did something together now if wesley aint completley .

That's true once you get typecast as an action guy it's hard to get out of that especially when you a brother. Snipes as well didn't start his career as an action guy but that pretty much hurt his career in a way too.

This is the same country that made Arnold Schwarzenegger a super star and he can barely speak English. Michael Jai White isn't the best actor but it's not out of the question that he should be a bigger star, when far worse people have blown up.

I'm not disagreeing that he could be the next action hero. I could see him in The Raid remake, easily. I was responding to the line that "he's way too good" to not be a star. I'd have made him Black Panther to be honest.

Think that acting skills alone determines casting choices, brehs. I can tell you right away that when it comes to money, MJW was going to cost a whole lot more to get than Sticky Fingaz and for the development of the show that was important. It's the same reason Marvel went with Batista over Jason Momoa for Drax, the latter was considered the front runner for the part but wouldn't bring down his salary to Marvel's standards, so they went with the guy who had no issue getting paid less. It's all a part of the game.

I'm perfectly ok with turning my brain off for action movies. Transporter movies were plot wise but I still watched them. Blood and Bone and Falcon Rising were damned good.

Trying to tell you this brotha doesn't fit the mold of what Hollywood wants to showcase of black men.
He's too Alpha male looking and that kind of appeal takes away from actors of the dominant society. That's a threat.
I remember telling a partner of mine around the time Iron Man came out that White should've been Rhodey because he resembles the comic character alot. Can you see him towering over Downey? They can't have that.
