i dabbled in high school but i didn't really start smoking heavy until 24-25. I'm 32 now.

honestly in the beginning weed was a very positive outlet for me. brought me closer to my own emotions and I discovered my spirituality. weed helped me learn things about myself I never even knew was there to begin with. The knowledge I gained as a result of smoking weed led me on the path towards my career. plus everything was just more enjoyable when I was high.

but for the past several years it hasn't been about that at all...now I needed it to just to function. I smoke when I wake up, before the gym, before work, before going out, before bed... whether i was in a good mood, bad mood, or just bored. I've become too dependent on it.

Which is why I'm thinking of quitting. I feel like I'm at a standstill with everything and I'm hoping quitting will help me get to the next level.

Just wondering if anyone here has any positive experiences to share for inspiration.

About a year now. It's mainly work related so I don't want to say "quit" per se, but cutting back drastically. Also I puffed heavy and similar to you it felt more spiritual in the beginning. Then it became a habit. Plus I'm very sensitive to sativa strains. shyt seems to make me extra paranoid and not comfortable in crowds. Very anxiety inducing. I remember at one time some sour diesel had me looking like Malcom x, with my blinds down and a pistol in my hand looking out the window. Indica strains relax me so when I did puff I always sought some good northern lights or Og kush.

I also used to smoke extremely heavy and recently cut back to basically not smoking at all, or maybe once or twice right before bed

It was cool for pretty much the entire time, but recently I started to feel like it was eroding my ambition and slowing down the rate at which I achieved my goals

I'm 2 and a half months no bud. I work in the health field so I figured it was time to quit. It really sucks tbh. Nothing wrong with getting off work rolling up and cooking good food. It wasn't hard to quit but I think I'm having some side effects like irregular sleeping patterns and wild ass dreams shyts kinda creepy. Appetite is a little off. And I drink more henny :manny: I'm to the point where I can be around it and skip rotation but damn that shyt be smelling good :ahh:

its easy if you have things to do. i stopped for like 2-3 years and often go months without it. i even cut down ciggerattes to 3 a day. you just need things to do, when your tired you enjoy the simpler things more.
