I remember seeing TSU at the battle of the bands. Y'all battled Morris Brown in the tunnel. We heard y'all going at it from the stands. Looking back at it y'all really won. MB sounds hella sloppy.

Yeah man, I wasn't there that year. We went up against FAMU, Jackson State, and South Carolina State when I was there though.

Loved it all black school by the way. We were "inspired" by Grambling and Southern. Had em rockin'

Getting to march in the Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans was great too

Louisiana has some pretty good high school bands. I think LA, FL, GA and TX have some of the best show band programs.

Had hella fun. Macy's parade in 05 was definitely the highlight of my band career.

I know the feeling I had a big bulky looking case. shyt got in the way of everything

I know! Now they have ones with the straps like a backpack. Like where was this when i was in school. I hated holding it to play too. Hand cramp and finger sores like a mother. Unlike woodwinds and other brass instruments where the accumulated slobber can be easily dumped with a trombone you have to take entire damn slide off to clean and release. Ain't no body got time for that.
