Anyone have someone they know that's 30+ and still trying to be a rapper?

It's a difference between rapping because you love it and trying to "make it" as a rapper as your only means of career/income...and even then, you got plenty of nikkas out here right now that didn't get any attention til they crossed that line of being "old", who cares. Biggest thing that bothers me about this mentality is that we sit around on a hip hop forum all day but clown people who actually live within and participate in the culture.

I doubt those 50 year old white guys still have plans of being rockstars :comeon: They probably have good, fulfilling jobs and do their hobbies in their free time. Nikkas be 30 years old and still be dead serious that they're gonna blow. People on that wave are shortchanging their own potential because instead of putting their energy toward something tangible, they're chasing fantasies.

Yeah but what if those 50 year old white guys cut a major hit in the studio? You think they gonna sit around doing IT work when they could be making money doing their hobby/passion? Whose to say the same nikka couldn't do it in rap?

:heh: Yea Frayed part of it I think. One of my boys use to rap with them. All that sh:t horrible. . I can't believe they still going.

:russ: who ur homeboy, what's his rap name...I wouldn't put u out there...jus curious cuz I know some of them cats, from one of the label heads E-Storm (used to cut my hair, he a barber too & from my hometown), and DJ Chubb, who used to spin a few of my joints...I was like 18, 19 making noise out here when he was spinnin my joints...then Frayz blew a minute later when I went in to do a little 6 month bid. Stayed home for a year and fukked around n got hit with a 4 year bid after that, so watching all the effort & time nikkas put in and to still not have blown...while I was literally on the sidelines, and we still in the same places, respectively, just be havin me :heh: sometimes...

My girls uncle and he's like 45 :snoop:

She told me she was at his house a while back and he wanted to show her their studio. He showed her the linen closet and their recording equipment was a hand recording device. :deadmanny:

I laughed my ass off when she told me this.
