I'd say about 90% fluent. I have a BA in Spanish but then I worked at a carwash for 10 years. It was the equivalent of traveling, since I was there 40-50 hours a week and the only white boy up there. :skip: Helped immensely, I'd say that immersion is the best option.

Yup school can only take you so far, you have to out and practice, I got this Mexican chick taking me out for tacos in Tijuana this Friday, ima go practice my shyt out there with the natives even tho border towns always have to worst language, and not a good place to learn but im going to train my ears

I've tried. Wasn't that successful.
Tried French in junior high and high school. I got some grammar, listening and speaking from classroom stuff. I'm not fluent or even close to it.
Tried German in college courses. I got the grammar down but listening comprehension and speaking was epic fail.
Tried Spanish by myself. I can't comprehend anything.
Tried Japanese by myself. No go.
Tried Russian by myself. Can you say zonk zonk oblongata?
