Learning Dutch now. Gonna go next into French

Meh I don’t think Dutch is all that useful because a small minority of of the world speaks it and most Dutch speakers speak English

You're probably right. I just wanted to learn something folks didn't normally do. Gonna work on French and German next.

While some words in dutch might make learning german (and to much smaller extent French) easier, the grammar is way different. I would not recommend Dutch as a step up to those languages.

They speak Flemish Dutch
I remember visiting Brussels thinking this sound different

Currently using the app Pimsleur to learn Dutch. Don't ask me why I chose this language just picked one rather than French or German.

On my 3rd day. Just feeling like upping up some skills.

Was trying to learn Spanish but I’m from Michigan and haven’t ran into anyone that speaks it. Would only use it if I went to Mexican town

I enjoyed Duolingo but I found it kind of corny after a while. But it is a very helpful tool ()

I think learning a new language is so beneficial to the brain and building new neurons. So I feel you. Nothing wrong with just learning something for the fukk of it

Yeah man for the time you're spending pointless YouTube videos if you spend 2 hours a day just with your headphones on learning an app that teaches you new language even basic sentences can start to come somewhat easier
