Man tell me why there STILL a Blockbusters video open on South Beach off Alton and like 15th. I KNOW that shyt is probably a front for some illegal operations. There's never anybody in there whenever I pass by.

As far as this thread, people don't necessarily miss Blockbuster. They miss anticipation. They miss not knowing. The internet destroyed that shyt. Not saying it's good or bad, but it is what it is. At one point I lived 2-3 blocks from a Blockbuster and I'd be in there daily. If the game or movie was wack, you caught an L....but the L was worth it because occasionally you'd get some :whoo: shyt, and the feeling from that trumped any possible L from randomly grabbing shyt off the shelf.

That's impossible nowadays.

A side note, and I've mentioned this before, does anyone remember Blockbuster Music? They'd let you listen to entire albums before you copped them, which was unheard of at the time.

Random, but I remember when Titanic dropped on VHS that shyt was so long they had it on TWO tapes :russ:

I used to be in Blockbuster for like a hour just browsing, looking at box covers....

Renting classic movies at age 12 and seeing them for the first time>>>>
Carrie, Rocky, Exorcist, Texas Chainsaw Massacre :ohlawd:

My most rented movie in history is prolly either Meteor Man or Blankman... when i was 4-5 years old I just rented the same shyt every week...

:salute: Blockbuster

breh, if you aren't telling the truth:myman:This and
th
use to be the go to places for me.:sadbron:rip hollywood video and:salute:Blockbuster still hanging in there. Saw several stores around my area, thinking :wtf:"i thought they went out of business":bryan:
Man I had a Hollywood Video literally right around the corner from my crib.. very short walking distance. No need for these brick and mortar rental spots anymore but I used to love this and Blockbuster though. But I hated taking shyt back though, even though I was always on time.

as a kid.. blockbuster was like heaven man.. all those aisles of movies and games :noah:

when i got older.. renting a movie with my girl was a lil event. check out the new shyt.. pop over to the horror section.. get some snacks and drinks.. maybe get one of those cinemax style movies :takedat::snoop:

just walk around the store like 5 times before picking out a movie. i can't do that at the redbox without people getting mad at me :to:

There was also another gimmick everyone used to do..you would have a WACK ass game at home and replace that game in the box and keep the PIFF game. And since certain employees were so lazy, they never called you back or investigated it. It was a great scam...that's how I kept that Legend of Zelda II with the gold cartridge and CastleVania II with the Mourning Star and Flame Whips:evil: I loved that fukking game. I never wanted to return it. EVER....haha.

I will never forget the time I got home with Spiderman 64 and was super excited, opened the box only to see it was SUPERMAN 64:skip: I actually ending up playing it for couple of hours till it froze on me
