Still doesn't answer my objective moral question.

Many societies worked well with a scapegoat that the ruler wanted killed. Many societies have prospered with the ruler stealing anything he wanted. Good morals doesn't always = prosperous civilizations. But what are 'good' morals anyway. :ehh:

Those ruler's actions were ultimately viewed as immoral. And throughout history the more immoral the ruler got, the more likely he was overturned and/or the society failed. The morals we view as good thou shall not kill etc. all lead to prosperous societies, it's when we begin to ignore these things that we begin to fail.

Black people's L has nothing to do with religion. You can replace the word "Christianity" with a number of things and make all the same arguments.

Yeah
This thread proves that. shyt even the asinine post above yours about "christian women being brainwashed"

Most atheists can't handle just stating their feelings and leaving it at that. They then have to go on a campaign to try to tear down Christians values and belief system to try to make their personal choice sound better to others and justify their lack of faith. If you don't agree just go ahead and read the last few pages of this thread and really take note on who is attacking who :ld:

I'm not atheist :shaq2:

You can't justify stupidity breh.

You know it's true of else you wouldn't have even responded to my post.

Ultimately? By whom America? that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights

I love how we accept the unalienable rights, but not the Creator.

Axis Powers' heroes were our enemies. Were they right and were we wrong? :manny:

"The morals we view as good thou shall not kill etc. all lead to prosperous societies, it's when we begin to ignore these things that we begin to fail."

And why should we care about society (others)? Shouldn't we just mind our business and do what is 'good' for us? Can't have it both ways. :manny:

Let people do them...... :manny: no wait help each other build a better world.:stopitslime:

I aint talkin bout small shyt. Only major shyt like murderin, assault, robberies, child back-blowin out, etc

the problem is, we actually think there are different levels of sin. sin = death. regardless of how "small" we think some of them may be. thats why you have to ask forgiveness for sins you know you have committed and the ones you dont know you've committed. usually the "small" ones start off that way and become huge balls of sin. the snowball down the hill effect.

you start off telling little "white lies" as a kid. then you start cheating on test as a teen, then you cheat to get into college and get out of college. then you cheat and lie about what degrees you have and previous jobs you've worked at, to get a big time paying job. then you lie and cheat on your job to move up. next thing you know. you're pulling shaddy moves as a hedge fund guy in the early 2000's helping blow up the bubble.
it all started with you and your little white lies you always told but never put them in check.

as a kid you start off sneaking a nudy mag out of the store.
as a preteen you're sneaking and watching late night cinemax,
as an older teen and young adult you are full fledged addicted to porn.
you still live a completely different life in front of the rest of the world as a priest/pastor. no one will know.. until they find out.

we can do this all day long.

these diddlers usually have been diddled at a very young age. and didnt receive proper assistance there after. part is their own fault for not crying out for help. but part are the adults around them fault for not recognizing the changes in these kids demeanor. the combination of both. means little kid that was diddled could be mad at the world and confused. so he now diddles little kids. wash, rinse, and repeat the sad cycle.

everything is a seed. its planted then it grows if you dont get it in check.

Ultimately by their constituents or neighboring civilizations which is why they get overturned.

Those unalienable rights were there well before the bible.

It's never "right" to kill. Sometimes we justify those wrong actions in various ways, but the actual act of killing is always wrong.

Humans can't survive alone. We are a social species which is why we created the thought of "civilization" we care about others because what happens to others ultimately effects us.

The more vague your beliefs are, the easier it is for a modern person to justify believing in the bible. Looking it as "guidelines" is just a way for people to tell themselves that they're going to heaven without having to adhere to the obviously unbelievable parts of the bible.

do you dudes even understand the definition of trolling :what:

i asked a legitimate question about something that perplexes the fukk out of me. why is it so hard for y'all to answer why you follow a religion that cacs forced down your ancestors throats out of terror

I hate when people say this :beli: Whites may have initially used christianity as a tool of manipulation against blacks but, it ended up being the first step towards liberation for slaves after we left white churches and began to establish our own. The Civil Rights movement was born out of the Black Church; it was the first place where blacks convened privately, separate from whites and began to plant seeds/ideas for what happened in the late 1800s/1900s. Now if you want to make fun of people for following a religion that their slave masters gave them, fine. Just understand, that religion also played a major part in the advancement of blacks......and your ancestors wouldn't take too kindly to it....a$$hole :beli:

You can't have an objective moral standard without an objective moral standard giver. Who is to tell anyone what is right or wrong? My right may be your wrong and vice versa.

What/Who makes us 'civilized' intrinsically? :manny:

If left to our own devices, the overwhelming majority would only behave in a fashion that appeases our base nature.

You have to cultivate a person's consciousness.....

In order to have a society, universal moral parameters need to be set in place.

There is a reason christianity was forced down people's throats with a sword during the middle ages

And how were we civilized exactly?

Will it be the same way we look back at our ancestors who built the pyramids but yet refer to them as primitive, even though modern man isn't exactly sure on how those structures were erected.....???

Honestly, I think we have regressed mentally since man has been on this earth. It is hard for me to believe that we once were neanderthals and then all of a sudden out of nowhere with no real explanation, we came into consciousness...

All of a sudden we went from only understanding how to meet our basic needs, (food, shelter, reproduction), to having the ability to appreciate the beauty in a rose or sunset, being able to create works of art that others could appreciate on an artistic level....etc....
