I see a 2004 Suzuki Katana 600 with 6800 miles for sale for $2k. They say it needs work. I might reach out and get it

Any thoughts on if that's a decent bike to start on and I won't outgrow? I'm sure it's better than a 300 or 400. And it sounds good going by videos
I know you mentioned no higher than a 600, however I would look at a used Honda CBR650F. Comfortable, plenty of power for a starter and reliable.

I know about the 650. Those are different engine layouts. Way less hp, but more usable torque.

The 600cc i4s are said to be dying out though. From what I understand they're not comfortable and not good on the streets unless you rev to 8k.

Depends the 600 for comfort, I have a CBR600 and could ride it for most of day without an issue. As far as revs most of them you will be between 4-5K for around the city, on the freeway I’m at between 6-7k at 75-80mph. Not touching 8K unless you maxing out revs trying to race.

Pretty decent. Turning at high speeds isn’t a good idea tho
This is what stopped me from getting a slingshot and copped the liter instead. I realized there's no replacing the thrill of throttling out of a turn when you're already going fast as sht :whew:

I see a 98 Cbr600 for 1800, dude said he'd let it go for 1700.

Also see a Vstar 1100 for $1900.

Not sure which I want, but I'm thinking about picking up something next week:lupe:

If you're deciding between a rocket and a fukkin cruiser just get the vstar breh you ain't really about that life. You can still be a biker but I don't suggest getting that rocket unless you've already accepted you will fall and you will hurt yourself and the bike, eventually.

Best to just be safe and cruise on the vstar. I know plenty people that have rode those kinda bikes for years with no helmet that have had no issues. Anyone who only rides cruisers or touring will confirm what I'm telling you.

Every time I look at the cruiser I think about the sport bike though. I'm not gonna lie to myself, I'm eventually gonna want speed and to hear the inline 4:lupe: Cruiser ain't really got the power unless I go the bigvtwin Indian Challenger or Harley Road Glide cvo

Only real reason for me to not get the 600 is because it's bad for street riding at low rpm. I been looking for a sv650 but they hard to find. and I don't want those ugly sounding Honda 500s

I already took the basic rider course, but gonna take it again next year.
