in bay area most the casinos are dedicated to cambodian or filipino people.. even the ones in places like Richmond but especially when you start going towards SF/San Jose.

if you really needa see some fine filipino women hit up Lucky Chances (dedicated Filipino casino in SF) at 3 AM after the clubs closes and go to the restaurant area

Used to be the fastest dudes in school. We had a Vietnamese dude running anchor on our relay name Tho Ly. He could hella high jump too. We had this dude name Singhatee on our basketball team that used to be raining threes. Dude went to UT running the Asian pick up games in Gregory gym (UT dukes know what I'm talkin about )

grew up around filipinos ..they really do love the sport. mufuccas can hoop..quick and got handles..some can jump too. like everyone said..just dont have the height..majority of em that do play hs ball..their highest ceiling is playing for d3 or d2 schools.. they can ball doe. plenty of all filipino leagues here in LA

i work in a sports fan store and as soon as any of them walk into the store its to the clearance rack to look at on sale basketball jerseys and anything else NBA. never anything else.

I graduated about 10 years ago.
I went back last year and I could barely recognize the place: New buildings, parking garages, ornate shyt, etc.
Big college campuses look more like luxurious resorts now... No wonder tuition is so high these days.
I enjoyed my time there (it's really a party school) but I'm grateful that I graduated just in time before they jacked up tuition by 25 percent

Filipinos are looked down upon partly because their society is undeveloped compared to countries like China, Japan and Korea. They're also shorter and seem to be less intelligent. They don't do well in most sports relative to the other Asians either, except maybe boxing. They're full Asians though.

I can't speak on what's going on in their home countries, but data for Asian groups here constantly puts them in top 2-3 Amongst Asian nationalities in the us in terms of income and achievement...which amazes me cuz the Bay Area pinoys are so hood, but then I went to b school and met real Asian acting Filipinos and saw how these stats could be true.

95% of all Asians i've seen playing any kind of sport have been very UNathletic.

Why aren't there any in the nba or nfl or mlb then? Track? Soccer? Why is their one guy Manny Pacciao?

from what I understand that the Philippines adopted everything American such as gun culture and smoking. So I assume basketball is big because of that?

smoking isn't really american culture. i'm pretty sure they smoke more out east east than they today in america
