With the right shoes it ain't a thing. There's a difference from the 70s when runners ran marathons in Chuck Taylor's and other flat soled, no cushioned shoes and athletes who run on tracks vs regular people that run in shoes designed to run outdoors. The whole "it's bad for your body (feet, legs, knees, hips, spine)" talk it's outdated and scientifically proven junk science at this point.Ran trail 15 miles Bergen peak last weekend
Don't know why these people run on concrete long distance
Couch to 5k? Good app, pretty basic run program. But the timer, being able to log the runs and see what you gotta do day in and day out makes it simple and easy to use. It works if you use it. Worth the couple bucks.I got this program called C25k
great job, don't even worry about kipchoge who would've have finished a full marathon, taken pictures, interviewed, showered, eaten. And came back to watch you (and me) finish.Just did my first half marathon today...98% was muddy hiking trails since we had heavy rain all day yesterday here. I finished in at 2:20. It makes me feel like I could have prolly clocked in at maybe at 2:10 if the route was all paved and dry in normal streets. But overall great experience.
